Awesome delivery
Dr Madkour delivered my first child by emergency c section amidst many complications. We trusted his judgment in that situation. For my second child, we had scheduled a c section but my daughter had other plans. We never expected to be able to have a vaginal delivery, and it was very touch and go whether we would have one this time or have another emergency c section as the baby was stuck. He worked with us closely to understand our preferences and came up with a plan that worked for all of us. With his help we were able to have a vaginal delivery which was amazing and has made so much of a difference in my recovery. We were thrilled that he worked closely with us to deliver her safely.

Dr Madkour delivered my daughter, and I saw him several times toward the end of my pregnancy when my preferred doctor didn't have availability. I was generally very uncomfortable with Dr Madkour - he made some inappropriate comments about a mole on my stomach and was very uninformed about breastfeeding but gave advice nevertheless. I had a request added to my file in the specific hopes that he not deliver my baby, but he was on call when I delivered, so it couldn't be helped. When I was actually in delivery, he gave some inaccurate interpretations of how my labor was advancing, and after childbirth he tried to make me come in for a UTI even though it was the height of the COVID shutdown. Overall my experience with Dr Madkour was very negative, and I got the general sense that he didn't value women's time or the difficulty of having a new baby while you're recovering from childbirth.

I arrived a little bit late for my appointment with Dr Madkour, and he outright refused to see me. I was barely past the 15 minute window, and I had been waiting weeks for this appointment to address health concerns that have been causing me a ton of suffering. I essentially begged the office staff to ask him to see me, and he still declined. I have NEVER been turned away by a doctor for being late before. Asked to wait a while, sure, but not refused care. Meanwhile doctors can be an hour or more late and we still have to wait on them. I would never see a doctor who cares more about his schedule than patient wellbeing. He showed no empathy or compassion when I wrote after the fact to explain my situation. Look elsewhere if you want a doctor who cares about you and your health.

Excellent doctor! He put my Skyla IUD in and he walked me through every step of what he was doing. Very engaging and concerned for his patients. Definitely recommend him.
