Dr. Amita Jain, MD

Dr. Jain had a cold, calculated bedside manner. Even the nurses during the delivery were surprised that she was not friendlier when my wife was in obvious pain and fear. My wife felt that it was an isolating experience where there was no reassurance or explanation of what is happening. The pain never subsided, and she is suffering with it to this day years later, working tirelessly to recover from the damage caused by the delivery. Just a bit of warmth could have made a huge difference, but that was too much to expect, and now we are still paying the price

My wife had our child delivered by Dr. Jain. The whole procedure was very rushed and there was very minimal communication and no empathy for the pain that she was going through. We did not know what was going wrong and information was withheld from us, which we only identified years later by going through medical records ourselves. This trauma has affected my wife permanently, both mentally AND physically. Please do not go to Dr. Jain or IGO if you care for your long-term health.

Please do not go to Dr. Jain. She was the delivery OB on call during my wife's delivery. She had no bedside manner, did not follow though with our birth plan, and kept us in the dark of what was happening, making the process even more terrifying. We are still dealing with the trauma from the delivery to this day.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Dr. Amita Jain. During my pregnancy, it became evident that the doctor showed a complete lack of concern for my well-being. Instead of prioritizing my health and the needs of my unborn child, it seemed that their main focus was simply billing my insurance.What was even more disheartening was the complete absence of personal communication. Not once did Dr.Lily (PA) failed to reach out to me personally to discuss my condition or address any concerns. I felt like just another number on their list, rather than a patient in need of care and support during such a crucial time.To make matters worse, the doctor displayed a complete lack of bedside manner. There was no warmth, empathy, or even a basic level of human connection during my visits. Dr. Jain performed an emergency c-section on me. I'm not convinced that it would have been necessary if she had listened to me and not pushed pitocin on me. My water broke but I wasn't in active labor and I believe the guidelines are you can go 24 hours before the infection risk gets too great. Dr. Jain was absolutely adamant about not waiting and insisted upon me receiving pitocin about five hours after my water broke, which was an all around horrible experience and wound up with me in severe pain and my child in distress, thus leading to the emergency c-section. I found her to be pushy and not overly willing to listen to a birthing mother's desire. I wouldn't deliver a child with her again.

Dr Jain makes visiting the gynecologist as pleasant as it can be. She has great bedside manner, explains things well, and is proactive. She has performed necessary surgery on me twice, and I am always glad I’m in her care.

A very kind, knowledgeable doctor . She makes you feel safe

Literally one of the rudest humans I have ever met. Very aggressive and very demeaning. I believe her horrible bedside manner probably stems from feeling inferior for most of her life due to maybe the competitive environment she was raised in. Very unfortunate for her. I suggest you stay far away from receiving any care from her. I have worked in the hospital system for 20 years. I know hundreds of doctors and she struck my as a very incompetent person.

She is kind, compassionate and highly skilled in her profession. I only see her once a year, but she always takes great care of me and my medical needs.

I am not sure how she does not have more reviews but I have never been more comfortable and safe in an appointment like I did with her. I have never been with a doctor that went into such detail with my medical history and really took the time to explain each thing and detail. She is very compassionate, yet knows her stuff and is extremely thorough in her evaluation. I HIGHLY recommend and hope she will someday deliver my babies!

Great Doctor! I've had her a few times when my regular doctor haven't been available, and she is very through so that I understand what is happening with my body. This is my first pregnancy. I can tell she genuinely cares too, not just going through the motions as a doctor. I had some early contractions that had made me feel exhausted and sore. She helped me understand what happened and had me do various exams to make sure everything was going normal. Thank you Dr. Jain for the peace of mind

Dr.Jain diagnosed that i had Placental Abruption after an ultrasound done at IGO due to a heavy bleeding episode. She also told me that i could loose the baby. During my hospital stay another doctor looked at my scan records and diagnosed as Placental Previa. I changed my doctor and delivered a healthy baby.
