Excellent knowledge and attention to detail
I have been a patient of Dr. Dastgah for over five years and have found his service to be excellent. Dr. Dastgah and staff provides ongoing foot care related to my Type 1 diabetes. Recently, I developed an infected toe and called the office for care. Dr. Dastgah saw me immediately, fully evaluated the situation, cleaned and applied a dressing, and prescribed oral antibiotics. He then scheduled an appointment for the next day and one week later. I felt that he gave me his full attention by addressing this infection so early and comprehensively until it was completely resolved. I highly recommend Dr. Dastgah to other diabetics (or to anyone, for that matter) with concerns or problems with their feet.

Overall a solid podiatry practice
As a first time patient, I wanted to treat my chronic ingrown toe nails. I was texted a link to fill out the new patient forms that would save time during my appointment. I found the forms are easier to complete on a computer. The earliest appointment was a week out from when I placed it, which is better than most offices I asked around. I received the procedure to cure my ingrown nails on the first visit, although this does depend on whether your insurance requires prior authorization or not. I was given an antibiotic prescription and told I'd be receiving a 'soaking kit', this contains iodine solution and ointment, some gauze, and instructions. However, I was not informed this kit would add an additional $25 to my out-of-pocket, until it came time to pay my copayment. I feel this kit should be something you can bill insurance for as a part of the treatment. The medical assistants and Dr. Dastgah were friendly and personable. How the procedure would go was explained well.

My appointment with Dr. Dastgah was very pleasant. Making my appointment was easy. His office staff addressed you in a timely manner and are all very nice. He took ample time to address my concerns about my feet and I didn’t feel like he rushed through it. Going forward we have a plan to pursue to enhance the quality of the health of my feet. I feel relieved in knowing that my issues can easily be resolved. Leaving the office I felt at ease with my out come. I would recommend Dr. Dastgah to all of my family and friends. I already have.

I would stay away
Dr. Dastgah seemed very good and helpful at first. He took x-rays of my foot and said he was very conservative and assured me he could help me with my foot problem (sesamoiditis) without surgery. He referred me to have an MRI on my foot (very expensive out of pocket cost) and once I'd had the MRI and returned to his office to review the MRI he basically said there was nothing he could do for me. That I was already doing the right thing to never wear a high-heel and always wear flats and keep my foot cushioned. I was in shock that he had me have an MRI only to tell me there was nothing he could do. My sesamoiditis problem is very painful and doesn't allow me to wear any kind of heel for even one second as it feels like a hot nail through my foot. Almost $1000 later I am in the same exact place with no resolution. Huge waste of time and money!! Stay away!!!

Awful
Doesn't want to be a doctor, just talks mainly about herself and her own issues without listening to patients concerns going so far as being dismissive and flippant as any ailments she hasn't experienced herself isn't apparently valid to this intermediate health staff. I immediately requested for a different provider and if none is available I still wouldn't repeat visit with this woman. Just an awful experience and a sad addition to Podiatry being seen akin to Chiropractic services as it is already. I would always recommend to see an actual Orthopedic Surgeon who specializes in feet vs your basic podiatrist if insurance allows, that is the specialtist I will be requesting to see.

Dr. Amir A. Dastgah may have saved my life. I had been diagnosed with sarcoma cancer in November 2015 and tests at that time showed the cancer was localized to the left of my groin. I had surgery to remove the tumor and then radiation treatment on that area. The day after I finished my radiation treatment, I saw Dr. Dastgah for a routine checkup on my toe nails and he noticed an atypical bump on my left foot that looked highly suspicious, especially given my cancer diagnosis. He immediately ordered an X-Ray which revealed a tumor in that foot. My Oncologist at the time did not even include my feet in the PET scan she ordered to check if the sarcoma had spread to to other parts of my body. The surgery I ended up having on the left foot tumor showed that the tumor was malignant and, in the view of all my current doctors, likely the mothership of the sarcoma that appeared to the left of my groin and subsequently in both of my lungs. If it weren't for Dr. Dastgah, my doctors might n

After seeing another podiatrist for years I made an appointment with Dr. Dastgah to treat a serious toe nail issue. He is excellent, gentle unlike the previous doctor. His office has modern equipment like a laser and a water cooled grinder, much more effective then the old scraping and carving toe nail treatment. His staff is warm, efficient and he's actually on-time and very pleasant.
