Gave antacids for stomach in chest
My husband presented with hiatal hernia with his stomach completely in his chest and Dr Abidir gave him antacids. My husband called the office one day after he had had dinner out and I had rushed him to ER because he was in agony and throwing up while on the way to ER. The pain had eased by the time we got to ER so we left. Upon hearing what happened the office did not think this was an urgent issue. They booked an appt for a few weeks out. date of appt dr was late for virtual appt so my husband called and rebooked. Dr abidir wasn't available for at least a month so my husband booked with physicians assistant a couple weeks later. She gave him antacids again. After I found that out I got him in with a general surgeon. Months had been wasted being treated with antacids when he actually needed surgery. I believe if dr.abidir had correctly cared for my husband and sent him immediately to a surgeon my husband would be alive today. By the time he had surgery his condition was very bad.

After suffering for years under the regular care of two different gastroenterologist, and multiple visits at four hospitals as well as multiple primary care Physicians. Dr Abadir was through, and professional. He immediately diagnosed multiple conditions after performing endoscopy and colonoscopy and is treating me accordingly. Though I’ll eventually need surgery, I’m now on the mend.

I had a really bad experience with Dr. Abadir and his office staff in Rochester Hills. He prescribed antibiotics the first time through a Telehealth appointment for H Pylori Infection, and never follow up after. Months later I had to contact him again, and he said I supposed to get a test after my antibiotics, but not either him or anybody from his office said anything about it. So again, thanks to his negligence, I'm required to take more antibiotics. And I was told, please call us back if you don't feel good. Yeah, 9 days later I was so sick from the medication and I had to go into his office because they never answer the phone, and if you leave a message, they don't call you back. I have been waiting for 3 additional days since my visit to the office and no response. All this has been a nightmare, and at the same time, call to get an appointment is impossible, these people don't care about your health, they really don't!

I appreciate everything dr Abadir has done for me. I went there for a second opinion and already in my first visit he decided to start multiple tests because the last dr j had, told me I was "normal " even though I'm in pain and get nauseous a lot. Hes been thorough and even has repeated tests to make sure he finds the answers I need. My issue comes from his administrative side. I've been in so much pain that I've missed work and used up all my paid time off for the rest of the year...in September. With the looming thought of surgery, I was placed on FMLA. I brought the paperwork to them and they have been dragging their feet getting things done for me. They said theyd be sent in 3 to 5 business days, I had an appt on the 6th day and asked them in person why they hadn't been sent yet and witnessed one of the girls say they didnt have it another look and the first girl say, oh did I completely miss that? And laugh. This is my life, job, and pay. Cant be acting so lightly about it.

Met with Dr Abadir and waited almost 2 hours because they were behind, which I can understand. However I wanted to ask him some questions after the procedure and he and his staff completely blew me off. When I asked who I could talk to about my questions for just 5 minutes, I was told to see my family doctor or to email the office as they pushed me out the door. Very rude and unhelpful compared to other gastroenterologists I have seen and will not go back.
