Dr. Amine Segueni, MD

I have been a patient with Tryon Medical for over 4 years. I changed to the Matthews location for the convenience because I live 5 minutes from the office. I had to stop by the office to make the appointment because the phone system would not answer. The phone system needs improvement.I was very impressed by the office and the speed of my annual physical(I was in and out in less than an hour). Dr. Segueni was very knowledgeable on cholesterol medicines and gave an excellent explanation on what were best for controlling cholesterol out of the medications that were available.He sent the prescription renewals to the pharmacy during the appointment which sped up the process. His assistant was great and the phlebotomist did a fantastic job drawing the blood samples. There was almost no waiting time before the appointment.I didn't even have time to fill out the paperwork before they came to take me in for the physical. Definitely a 5 star rating other than inefficient phone system.

Very interested in his patients and takes time to explain results and answer questions . Extremely knowledgeable . Very pleasant demeanor. Trustworthy .

He always took time to listen to all my complaints and gave me the treatment at the best of his knowledge to cure you.

Unable to make appointment. No one answer phone. On hold for 35 minutes!

I'm sad to write this review as I genuinely like Dr. Segueni and he's been a good doctor over several years, but the Novant office billing system is horrendous to deal with and I'll be changing doctor's offices. They botched the diagnosis codes for a treatment in late May and the office has been completely unresponsiveness both to me, my insurance company, as well as central Novant billing contact (all of whom have made multiple efforts to contact them over the last 8 weeks). I find this totally unacceptable not be able to reach my own doctor's office or get a call back for over a month, so would advise anyone reading this go at their own risk and hope they get all the billing done properly on their first try, as there's basically no way to correct a mistake.

I have always highly recommended Dr. Segueni at Novant I have been his patient for 4 years and he has always given me the best referrals. He and his assistent are very professional.

New to the area and needed a doctor for an embarrassing issue that holds some social stigma as well. Dr. Segueni not only handled everything professionally and respectfully, he also had a good sense of humor and general wholesome and relaxing attitude. It was obvious that Dr. Segueni has a passion for medicine and cares about the patients well-being and future. Overall a very positive experience and I would highly recommend Dr. Segueni. Look forward to working with him in the future.
