It’s impossible to call and to speak with anyone at anytime at the office. It’s always voicemail. This is no way to run a doctors office! The front desk NEVER answers the phone and just lie to your face when they say they get back you and often no call back. The good doctor himself is knowledgeable, competent, and empathetic. But boy he should fire the front desk and start over!

Wonderful Doctor but Horrible Staff
Dr. Rahman is empathetic, thorough, and listens deeply to concerns. I really do like working with him. However, I've never walked into an office to not be warmly greeted by the front desk. They do not even look up & say 'Hello'. One staff member recently hung up on me & told me I was being too much, when I asked for blood test results to be faxed or mailed. If results were mailed in February to me, they could be mailed in April. I requested she ask one of her colleagues how to print the results. Amazing how the results showed up in the mail 3 days later. Today, I am on phone call number 5 between their office and the hospital for my next round of tests. The hospital still does not have the orders. I will be looking for a new endocrinologist with an office staff that supports the doctor and his patients after I'm done with this next round of scans.

Dr. Amer Rahman is the best!
Dr. Amer Rahman has been my doctor for 20+ years. He's an exceptional doctor. He takes the time to answer my questions, and explain why a specific test is needed. He found my thyroid cancer very early (stage 1) and I feel this is the reason why I'm healthy today.

Wasting my time
It’s hard to speak with anyone at the office. It’s always to voicemail. Often no call back. Appointments run a minimum of 30 minutes late, often longer (it was 45 today). Took them months to review my last blood work, and then said I didn’t get all the tests they ordered (this happens frequently). I could see all my results so I called them out on not being able to get my results. If I could get into another endo in a timely fashion I would but I’m stuck.

Dr. Rahman is a straightforward, but thoughtful doctor. He listens to my concerns and always takes into consideration how I am feeling when making med changes. I also appreciate his sense of humor.

Scheduling an appointment is impossible. Phonecalls are never answered and callbacks (IF you get one) take weeks. Unnecessary medications are pushed while life saving meds like test strips and insuling are held hostage, as they continuously "forget" to submit prescriptions so they can be filled. Had alot of fun begging for insulin samples from a nearby hospital. And really enjoyed the ER bill after going DKA. Weird how that happens without insulin. Who knew. FMLA paperwork had to be completed by a seperate office (with a seperate bill ??) as they just never did. Depite numerous reminders. Charges for services that were never rendered, incorrect billing, insurance never recieving bills etc. Etc. It's a mess. Please. Take your family elsewhere. There is no empathy here.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Rahman?
Dr. Rahman is a skilled MD with patience, a sense of humor, and a genuine concern for his patients. His manner is warm and friendly. He is very careful and concerned to get the right treatment. However, the office management is a mess. Despite the fact that the people in the office are pleasant, very little seems to work right. It can take days of constant calling to get a simple phone call through. A prescription renewal over the phone can take weeks.
