Dr. Amer Mukred Ibrahim, MD

Over the years, the few pharmacists I consulted expressed their frustrations about working with him. He genuinely seems indifferent. Initially, I appreciated my visits due to his student, but once their training concluded, I was left to deal with him. He played a significant role in my growing distrust of the healthcare system. To him, I felt like just another file number, and that’s exactly how he treated me. I remained his patient for about seven to eight years, disliking every moment, but I hesitated to seek a new provider since he was already my third doctor, assigned to me after previous doctors I actually liked had left. One of the first actions he took when I became his patient was to reduce my dosage, even though the medication regimen was effective. I was doing exceptionally well, but under his care, I've never felt so depressed, despite my diagnosis remaining the same. On one occasion, he scolded me for running out of my medication for 20 minutes. I left that appointment in tears. Later that day, I spoke with the pharmacist, who was unsurprised by his behavior. After eight years on this medication, I was reprimanded for that single instance. Now that I am pregnant and no longer taking any medications, I feel the need to report the actions of this terrible doctor. And don’t even get me started on his nurse.

Dr. Ibrahim is very kind and understanding, he listens to every word you say. He also likes cats, which is a plus. He is a great psychiatrist and look forward to keep working with him. He really makes you feel heard.

I felt great leaving my initial appointment. He was super knowledgeable and really spent the time helping me. I have had 2 follow up appointments since, and leave feeling I trust what he is having me do. I look forward to continuing my appointments with him to better my mental health.

Just had my first appointment, and was very pleased with his care

I had a accident 2020 I got traumatic brain injury, after that I start development hinches depressed too much worrying and no concentration I was feeling so lost.I was like that for long time and then I started visiting the doctor this is my 3 appointment in 2 months and everything is doing so good . Dr. lbrahim has been treating me for my depression and chronic pain issues for the past 3yrs. Dr. Ibrahim is like no other psychiatrist that I have worked with. I have seen several over the past 15 years for major depressive disorder. He listened to me while I talked and didn't I didn't feel rushed. My previous providers left me with a sense of distrust but his passion for quality driven outcomes has restored my faith treatment for mental health disorders and I speak highly of him to all of my peers.
