Dr. Amanda Yunker, DO

Dr. Yunker was truly amazing. From our initial conversation, she took both interest in my unusual case and the time to explain both what she saw and how we could address it. She was one of the only doctors who took the time to really look at my imaging and actually help! She offered me alternatives to surgery which I took since surgery was a few months from being a possibility. I did wind up having to have the surgery but everything about it went as well as it could have. While I was under she even went out to talk to my family and explain everything. She dealt with my endless questions both before and after. I wound up not having endo and instead having some irritated lymph nodes and something called an Allen Masters syndrome but she was able to rectify both and I'm more pain free than I have been in a year. I have seen controversial posts about this doctor but I found she went above and beyond and is every bit as qualified as she seems.

Dr. Yunker is the best. So easy to talk to and knowledgeable.

I had surgery for endometriosis with Dr Yunker a few years ago. She left a tumor inside of me that I later needed another surgery for. She used primarily ablation, even though she assured me she would use excision. The endo regrew on all the spots she ablated, requiring more surgery. I would not recommend Dr Yunker.

Did not return any phone calls, interrupted at every appointment, misdiagnosed my condition, denied medical care, delayed surgery, denied basic healthcare, tried to get me banned from obtaining basic pelvic exam, had to have her hand removed from my vagina during appointment when told to stop the examination. She did not stop the exam when told to, and a medical advocate had to physically remove her hand from my vagina, while she continued to bully me and gaslight me. Never did receive a post op exam after she performed vaginal cuff reconstruction surgery.

I have chronic pelvic and abdominal pain. Dr. Yunker "ping ponged" me between the doctors at Vanderbilt, but ultimately refused to even see me beyond virtually. I still have chronic pelvic pain. If you don't mind being gas lit, and your problems ignored? Then this is the doctor for you. What a monstrous waste of time, frustration, and money I didn't have.

She was knowledgeable, prompt, and did my laparoscopic hysterectomy. I couldn't be more pleased with her and the surgery. She did a fantastic job and answered all my questions. She is very easy to talk to and understand. If I could give her 20 stars I would!!! If you need this procedure, this is the doctor you want!

Not only did she refuse to see me inpatient, but she also sent me off to several referrals in vanderbilt... all of whom refused care. They ignored multiple medical documents, ultrasounds, etc.. I provided. Then when she (after a year+) finally deigned to see me in person, she stated she was 'uncomfortable' with me as a patient. Refused to see me anymore as her doctor? Really? Folks, if you were born slightly differently from the norm? Please don't waste your time. Oh, and the same medical issues you never evaluated doctor, that I went to you in the first place for are getting worse. Horrible treatment.

Told me that everything was all in my head and told me I needed to make a psychology appointment. 2 years later I was diagnosed with endometriosis.

Very knowledgeable of my condition and able to help me get treatment.

She's awesome, and her resident will be an outstanding doctor under her tutelage. They are the first doctors to pull up the images (not just the reports) of my ultrasounds and LOOK at them before they examined me. They asked very thorough questions, were clearly interested in figuring out the source of my pain, told me my diagnosis (post ablation syndrome) and my options (progesterone only birth control pills or hysterectomy or keep treating with ibuprofen.
