Dr. Amanda Speicher, MD

Visits were short and she had no medical knowledge. Waste of time

I have been in need of psychological help since 1998 when I was involved in an accident at work causing severe brain damage which brought mental and emotional issues beyond my control. Because of this I have developed a great respect for mental health care providers based on the help I have received throughout the years undoubtedly saving or at the very least improving my life. With that being said, my interactions with Dr. Speicher have been by far the worst experience with a psychiatrist since my accident. She asks questions without listening to responses but easily passes judgement. She pushes pills without consideration of side effects and seemingly couldn't care less about me when I have negative side effects except to push more pills and more judgement. I honestly wish I would have never set foot in her office and the only reason I am writing this review is in hopes that I can keep one person from feeling like I feel after visiting such a self-righteous individual.

I just had a "telepsych" meeting with Dr. Speicher. I forgot to get the blood work done she asked for so she threatening to refuse to fill my prescriptions if I didn't get it done. She is not empathetic, or caring. She goes through a list of questions in a robotic way, the same ones in the same order every visit. She types your answer without looking at you and never has any responses. She is remote and unfriendly. When I told her I took issue with her threatening to not fill my prescriptions she put her hand up to the screen, said "bye" and hung up.

At first I wasn't sure about Dr. Speicher. Not because of anything she did or didn't do. I tend to be attracted to warm and fuzzy people and that's not her, but nor should it be. She isn't a counselor; she's a psychiatrist. She is professional, caring, a good listener, and thoughtful. I trust and appreciate her.

Happened to google my doctor and saw some bad reviews. I am very surprised. Dr. Spicher has been a great doctor for me. She has be stable on my meds. She has helped me get off kolonopins which my last doctor had me on for a long time. The people who dont like her on here probably just didnt like her honest opinions or that she didnt give them their xanax.

Been with her 2 years. Good doctor who knows what she's doing. Recommend

I could not rate this doctor any lower. Borderline negligent, lacks compassion and any genuine concern for patient care. Please look elsewhere for care. Never in my life have I received such inadequate treatment from a medical professional. I am a doctor and was appalled by her lack of care which would qualify as patient endangerment.

Extremely rude. She really didn't care what I had to say or what my history was. She was full of assumptions and offended me to tears. NEVER in my life had a physician treated me like this. worst part of all was I probably needed a doctor the very most at this moment.

Caring and attentive. Works hard to find right medications.

i would like to know why dr speicher was dismissed from her previous employ?
