Dr. Amanda Schiefer, MD

Dr. Schiefer was my favorite Doctor for over 7 years! I came to her because of typical Thyroid issues, was diagnosed with hashimotos! I stayed in her care for approximately 7 years, suffering from usual hair loss and weight gain and other symptoms!At that point she prescribed a medication that causes weight gain and hair loss for high blood pressure. I gained 30 lbs and became pre-diabetic! I was then prescribed Metformin! I have found another Doctor to help me regain my health!

Dr. Schiefer is not only my favorite doctor but she's probably the best doctor I have seen. She listens to me and my concerns. Asks questions without being invasive. Has an excellent bedside manner. I always feel better after my appointments because I really feel that she cares about me as a patient. Going to the doctor can be scary but she always puts me at ease. No negatives, only positives! She really is the best!

She does not need hours trying to figure out what’s wrong with you. She pinpoints the problem and gives you her professional advice to help alleviate or eradicate your health diagnosis.I recommend

Dr. Scheifer is a force of nature. I developed Type 2 diabetes at around 54. My primary care doctor attempted everything he knew to get my blood sugar and my weight down with oral medication, diet, and exercise. I self referred to Dr. Scheifer with his approval. She tried using maximum doses of oral medications. I was loosing weight but my blood sugar remained high. Dr. Scheifer explained what the long term risk of chronically elevated blood sugar were and recommended one of the new injectable medications. I did not realize how sick I felt until my A1c dropped into the normal range. She is a patient first physician. She does not give up and refuses to let you give up.

Dr. Schiefer is a very caring doctor that will be tough on me when I need it. My A1C was going up and she prescribed me a contious glucose monitor and it is really helping me manage my diabetes in the few days I've had it. She is great!

Though seemingly knowledgeable, my appointments with her were extremely rushed and no time was taken to explain anything. I am much worse off than went I initially began with her. Their office requires payment in advance and has an additional service charge of you pay with a credit or debit card.

Been seeing her for 13 yrs. She is superb.

Phenomenal doctor! I moved 3 hours away and I still kept her as my endo. She explains things like she was talking to her own family. Sweet, kind, knowledgeable, and compassionate.

My son has been using Dr. Schiefer for a couple of years and I can not stress how horrible our experience with her office has been. They will not complete paperwork for pump supplies in an adequate manner. On one occasion his pump stopped working and I need to know basal rates. Her nurse said they did not keep those, that I would have to figure it out on my own. I have called the office manager SEVERAL times and no response......

Dr. Schiefer is a very special doctor. I love that she take times to listen to your concerns and then includes your thoughts in her recommendations. She has been my doctor for many many years. I gave her permission to speak with my other doctors to make sure all medicines are working together to ensure the best treatment on my behalf. I would recommend her 100%.

Dr. Schiefer is extremely knowledgeable in the field of Endocrinology. I have used several endocrinologists in the Jackson area, and in my opinion, she is the best. Not only is she a great physician, she is compassionate and cares about the .and spiritual welfare of her patients.

Dr. Schiefer has the patience to work with you to make sure you can finally get the "balance" needed to make life good again! She is wonderful at answering questions and has the patience of a saint.

Just love her. She takes time to talk and find out what the problems are. Never rushes and is very thorough.

Dr. Schiefer has been wonderful in treating me. She was always available for questions and helped me feel comfortable throughout the process.
