Best of the best
What makes a doctor good? Not a certain medical school. It’s not even whether they can find a concrete answer - you hope they do - but not everything in medicine is known. What makes them great - Is whether they are willing to take the patient/parent of pediatric patient’s input and concern to heart and weigh it as a critical element of the tests that are ordered in search of an answer. I was worried about my one kid (she sees multiple kids of ours) and I said I just wasn’t comfortable with the result - even though it was negative - because the kid still had symptoms. She wasn’t dismissive. Instead, she said she understood that moms have gut feelings and she respected when a moms antennas went up, because moms know their kids nest. She ordered more tests. That was also negative. We were satisfied but she even offered a third type of test if we still had concerns. We turned it down. She said if we reconsidered, to let her know and she would order it so we’d be comfortable
