Surgery
Dr. Adkins is a very kind and sensitive doctor who takes into account your medical history and your mental health. She believes that it should be up to the patient to know what’s best for their bodies and for her to make it possible. I felt like there was a collaboration between her and I. On the day of surgery I only had female staff in the OR, she was playing uplifting music, and when I woke up there were heart shaped gauze on my incisions. I could not have asked for a better and more kind doctor. If you have chronic pain and awful periods I highly recommend seeing her. I was dx with stage 3 endometriosis and unknown stage of adenomyosis. I felt like I was heard and believed and seen. Could not recommend her enough. She is amazing and I encourage anyone to go and see her if you have also been medically gaslit for your awful periods and pain in between.
