Dr. Altintas Burak, MD

Facility took x-rays prior to appointment, dr asked questions, did a physical evaluation, confirmed detached muscle, made me feel better that the other muscles do 90% of the work and recommended PT. Very efficient and out of there almost before the appointment was to take place!

He is everything you want in a surgeon. He is great at the technical aspects of his profession without giving up the human side of medicine. Easy to talk to and trust.

Repaired my meniscus that was badly torn, and removed and cleaned up some fragments and shredded parts. The MRI failed to show all of the damage, so the surgery took longer than expected, but went well. He told me my recovery would be ~ 8 weeks with no then limited weight bearing, and he was right. He told me upfront that he is more conservative with his recovery timelines and that was fine. Follow-up appointments were short, but he answered any and all questions.

he doesn't listen to a word you say , he makes the Xray Technicians have patients do positions with the body that causes pain . and he told me i was too fat for him to see any of the x-rays also argued with me when all i asked was if the tear in my meniscus was worse . then when he suggested physical therapy and your a Tribal Member he gets mad . my wait time was 1hr and a half and visit was less than 6 mins. i would suggest maybe get someone else .

Personable and educated in his level of expertise.

The front office staff, back staff were great. What stood out is that Dr Burak did not seem to listen to my concerns. He was more focused on why I was not seeing my prior surgeon

Professional, proficient, waiting time management was on a timely manner. Clean , receptionist was very nice.

I was sent to Core for knee pain in the front and back of my knee. I had an Xray and ultrasound that showed fluid around my knee. This doctor did not look at my ultrasound. Only my Xray. When I told him the ultrasound showed fluid on the knee he said he didn't know and told me I could go to physical therapy and learn to walk. I asked about the fluid he said he didn't know. He said he can send me for an MRI but insurance will deny it because nothing is wrong. I again asked about the fluid and he said he didn't know. This so-called doctor had no interest in getting to the source of the problem, nor did he care to listen or ask questions OR EVEN CHECK MY FILE. The memorable moment from this guy is the amount of times he said 'I don't know'. My time from work is valuable and this was wasted. Core should NOT submit this visit to my insurance for payment. Is the problem just this doctor, or is it how Core operates??

After going in circles trying to find a doctor that both, accepts my insurance AS WELL AS specializes in trauma surgery for my specific injury (scapula break), I was very thankful to be referred to Dr Altintas. He was attentive and thorough during our visit, I never felt like he was rushing me, like I have at other places. His bedside manner was very nice, I would highly recommend him if you are in need of a great doctor!

Dr. Burak explained to my grandson what to expect at each step of his shoulder surgery. Dr. Burak answered all of our questions and concerns. Now we are starting physical therapy to help strengthen the shoulder. Since this was my grandson's first surgery Dr. Burak took the time to reassure him and what to expect at each stage of the surgery procedure.

I visited Dr. Burak for a knee injury from snowboarding. His care and attention were exceptional. He explained my diagnosis and treatment options clearly and patiently. Thanks to him, I feel confident in my recovery. Highly recommended!

I had a 9am appointment, but waited an hour for the provider. He was rude and very rough even though I had tears in my eyes and complained. This Dr did not listen or answer my questions nor did he take my concerns seriously.
