Dr. Alok Gupta, MD

The doctor is never rushed, always there when you need him. Knows what he is doing and take good general care of me and sends me to the right specialists if I need them. He took time to explain the COVID boosters and told me that it was up to me to decide if I wanted them. His staff is excellent and knows what they are doing. Usually blood test results are back the next day, no waiting for a week.

Not good! Husband complained on two separate appointments on losing weight and he was not over weight. Also complained about reflux. Should had been referred to another specialist for an endoscopy. His EMT doctor did that fast forward died from Esophageal Cancer which could had been diagnosed earlier so he could have been a candidate for surgery.

Have had many appointments with Dr. Gupta over the years. In addition to being a highly-trained professional, he has a skill that I wish all doctors would cultivate: he is an incredible listener. He starts off every appointment with the following words or some variation thereof: "Tell me how you are doing?" He does not interrupt until I finish, regardless of how long my response is. Quite amazing! And, he is professional and personal at the same time. That is a trait, something that cannot be taught. I trust and recommend him, without exception.

Insufficiently medicated for chest congestion. Got worse, left message over weekend. No recall till Tuesday. Nurse hung up on me during conversation.

We are able to receive prompt appointments in case of need. Doctor listens to understands our issues patiently. Nurse and other staff helpful for blood work and other inquiries. His specialization in Obesity practice also helps me in getting additional advice.

Dr Gupta himself is a kind Doctor and seems highly qualified, as is his fellow Dr. Kami. The reason I am leaving their practice however is because of his two assistants, Jeanette and Bridgett who as long as I have been going there are basically cold and unfriendly. Today was the last straw after they made me feel like a fool for getting an appointment day wrong. Cold as ice and I chewed them out and cancelled the appointment. They need a real lesson in people skills.
