Believe all of the rave reviews! If I could give Dr. Spence 10 stars I would! I called Stanford after being diagnosed with breast cancer and was assigned to meet with Dr. Spence. The first thing I did was go online to see what I could find out about her. I only found 5-star reviews. I was skeptical, thinking surely someone has something bad to say about her because no one is perfect. Well, I am here to say that the day I was assigned Dr. Spence is the day I won the lottery! Her medical expertise, knowledge, and credentials certainly place her at the top of her profession. But her ability to communicate medical information in an understandable and compassionate manner with a steadying and easy confidence places her head and shoulders above the rest. She is truly caring and takes an interest in your well being, beyond your medical issues. Dr. Spence is a treasure and if you're fortunate to be her patient consider yourself blessed.

I, like the other reviewers felt Dr Allyson Spence went above and beyond what a genuine, intelligent and compassionate Doctor should be. I went to her for a second opinion and actually came out with the same recommendations but with a whole different positive attitude towards my treatment. Thank you Dr Spence!

Dr. Spence is the epitome of a caring, intelligent, compassionate medical professional that all doctors should strive to become. When a relative was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent chemotherapy, I accompanied her to all of her appointments with Dr. Spence and was extremely pleased not only by her clear and detailed explanations, diagnoses, recommendations, and instructions, but also by her bright smile and uplifting advice she gave at every appointment. Absolutely zero complaints.
