Great Doctor
Really good care of my family for a few years already. We had times when we had insurance issues and we were able to pay cash for the visit, it was very reasonable! Def recommend for issues that need a real doctor and team to look over.

Better than all the rest!
I need to leave this review!! I can only praise the open and engaging way that Dr. Orehek helped my mother with a neurodegenerative disorder. We were to many places and some of them would have expected a proper diagnosis, yet a friend gave me a copy of a paper Dr. Orehek published ‘The Micron Stroke Hypothesis” and was so strait forward to explain a complex issue I don't know why he isn't talking on TED about this. So my mom was very complex and after about 6 months, a few tests and a consult we have confirmed her issues. I plan to make a painting for Dr. Orehek in appreciation. My mom (D.S) had a severe lack of oxygen at night while she was sleeping - it went down to the low 80s for long period of times. She is so much brighter already! Hope to see the Doctor and his wife who is a nurse practitioner Doctor too soon for a 2024 scheduled followup! Now we are set for the rest of 2023 with a good medical plan. I love my momma

Got my life back - Had many issues.
I really liked how Dr. Orehek took my million and one problems and we worked thoruh them over a time. Bubby took me back and I can now be someone who is fun and not as snarky as I was. I had fibromyalga, but it was really lime disease. I never felt soo good till after i got throught those test that helped. I wanna finish my GDR, but seems that doing drywall is now back on the schedule as I can move and feel so good. The Dr took the time to let me do what I wanted, and in the end the things that I wanted were not as important as the stuff that he helped me to see I was haveing. 15 years of a wrong dx by a no name place in scranton - but finally cured!

Discovered my mothers rare condition!
We traveled over to see Dr. Orehek from NY - my mother is having memory issues. We met with Dr. Katy Orehek and she was amazing! My mother has never had such a complete evaluation - and this includes all of the time we spent in NYC and Baltimore dr offices trying to get some answers. Dr Katy did such a complete physical exam - even my mother said it was the best of her life. Months later (it took time for her insurance to approve testing) and we discovered that my mom had a. fib. - this is irregular beating of the hear. We would have never known - but the recorder she had showed it! Now treated we can only praise Doctor Katy. Well worth the drive and time! We can celebrate now that she is being treated that perhaps most of the damage to the brain is stopped. Over the last 2 years we have seen her improve and she is better than she was ten years ago. She went back to dancing and bowling - these were events she stopped doing. More doctor teams should be like this.

For a Physician for Forgetfulness I now understand how he can proudly carry that title! Even here in CT at major “healthcare” no one is doing and looking at neurodegenerative disorders how he is. If you have a problem with BRAIN FOG go see him! I was mixing up words and missing words – now im better. Thank you Dr O and your staff! Every visit I leave with a new understanding of what I need to do to better my life and keep my memory sharp! I have completed a lot of work over the last few years and the roadmap has been clear and organized. I am a professor at a major university in Connecticut and do travel to seek out the opinion and expertise from the vast clinical knowledge that Dr Allen Orehek has.

Open and Honest Doctor - what the world needs1
I am 52 years old and cant praise Dr Orehek enough. He never pushes and drugs or testing. He lets me be the "boss" of my care. He works hard for my case and at times the only reason I got good care was because of how he fought for what I needed. Healthcare is not medical care - and at times things i wanted or needed but my insurance would not cover he was able to direct me to very inexpensive locations.

Helped my chronic fatigue!
Dr Orehek M.D. is a true doctor, he took the time and working with my family (I cant drive and they had to help me). Whille my program didnt allow some of the testing he sent me to a specalist and they were able to get the problem solved. I would never have known that it I woudl be able to call my aetna and "fight" with them to get the proper testing that I needed. Dr told me how to take care of the issues and i got perfect care as soon as we knew what was really troubling me. I cant thank him enought!

I want to take a moment to acknowledge Dr Allen Orehek and his staff for the excellent care they gave to my mother, (D.S). She was a very challenging patient who was given the wrong diagnosis by another doctor and Dr Orehek and his staff helped getting the proper testing completed to show she had a problem with her heart. She died from Covid - but nothing to do with the problems they took care of and helped her with!

I would not recommend this doctor, not because of the doctor, but because of the staff. The doctor informed me that I should see a blood specialist, the staff told me I would not need a referral. After calling a hematologist they had informed me I need a referral. After calling the doctor's office to have them send a referral, I was told a note would be given to the nurse who would then send the referral, the next day I called to make the appointment and they still had not received the referral. So I again called the office and the nurse informs me she never got a note to send a referral and said I would receive a call to let me know the referral was sent. I never received the call and the referral was never sent.

The hospital said all was fine and I was not feeling to fine. Dr Orehek found three things in the hospital record that were wrong - the most impt was my heart. I had a heart attack in the past an no one at the hospital told me! It took a while with my insurance to get the heart fixed but the artery is now open and I pay to go to cardiac rehab. Dr Orehek saved my life! The office staff is very pretty too. I want to write more of the story, but just contact me if you have a question. I can tell you that he was the only doctor to ever take the time to figure out what was wrong with me. I was like this for a few stinkin years untill into the hospital and almost died there. Now - yet my insurance made it so hard - but we got it all fixed. I need to write this so others will know that there is still a good doctor - and his name is Allen Orehek - my doctor, he saved me and I love him for it.

We went to Dr. Orehek after being to a number of different medical practices in the area and were so happy that we did. The Doctor took the time to look over all of the information we had - and sat to go over the images on the lungs and this was very helpful. I knew I had a problem and he sent me to an excellent surgeon who fixed me right up. You should go see Dr. O as I call him.

When you see a graduate from Thomas Jefferson Medical school you know that you will be getting some of the best care! Dr. Orehek is board certified in both internal medicine and he is also board certified in pediatrics. We went to see him because we had a complicated problem with my mother. She was in and out of the hospitals a few times and they kept saying it was her lungs - but we found out it was related to other problems. She has not been in the hospital for 15 months now!

Dr Orehek is a great doctor! He takes the time with you and honestly listens to what is wrong to make sure you get the right treatment. You may call and be seen the same day very often! We have a few children and this works out great. He always takes the time to take care of each and every one of his patients. I would not want anyone else to treat my family and myself for sure!

My mother was in a hospital and they kept her there for 3 1/2 days, but never even told me or my sisters what any of the conditions were. we were then discharged and told to follow with a doctor, my mother is new to the area and just moved into a personal care. The hospital doctor could not see my mother for at least 12 weeks!!! We called the department of aging and they did say to try Dr. Orehek. We called and got in the very next day. He was very attentive and is a huge help.

My mother was admitted to a skilled facility. When she got there from the hospital we knew nothing about what the hospital even did. My mom was very sick and her other doc was doing nothing. Dr. Orehek was able to get the records from the hospital and my mom was having a serious heart problem. The doctor was able to get testngs done and now my mom at least knowns what her problems are. She is still doing just ok, but now we know.

The doctor makes house calls to my uncle who can not leave his house after getting into a farming accident. My uncle is only able to stay at the house because the doctor and his nurses help out with some quipment and medications for his bad heart. I do appreciate this very much. I know he doesn't have many years left but soon he may be moving around better. Going to the office is a drive, but they do take good care of both of us.
