Dr. Allan Larcena, MD

When I first started seeing Dr. Larcena I was barely able to make it to the bathroom and then back to my bed...Dr. Larcena has literally changed my life for the better in so many ways. I went from not being able to go in a store for four years to now being able to do my own shopping and I will forever be grateful. I would recommend Dr. Larcena to anyone that needs a caring Dr. that will listen to you and truly care about any health needs you may have. Doctor larsena is a very good doctor he never misses anything if I say something wrong he sends me wherever I need to go to take care of it

I went in with the problem of my fingers being numb. He never once asked what brought me there. Just asked how long it had been since I had blood work, Mammogram and colon exam. As he was leaving I asked if he would like to know why I was there, he stopped in doorway and replied "what". When I told him my issue, I was told, "when you get all the test run then come back and see me". There was no care or concern about my issue. I feel the mammogram and colon exam was not as important as to why my fingers were numb. Also, took up to a week to get a refill approved for pharmacy. I ended up having to show up at office to get a paper script, with attitude from staff.

Dr. Larcena's excellent diagnostic ability identified a high blood calcium condition as Hyperparathyroidism, suggested a practice in Tampa that specialize in the surgical cure and that whole surgury experience was excellent. Dr. Larcena is very affable and I always enjoy the appointments with him.

I found Dr. Larcena in 2005 & have enjoyed the relationship I formed with him & his wonderful staff. This Dr. makes sure you are current on medical test that are appropriate to your sex & age. He ordered an MRI for my back pain & by chance found an abdominal aortic aneurism. He referred me to a vascular surgeon who watched it for a year & had to perform surgery b/c of the growth. W/O the MRI it would have gone undiagnosed & w/o the surgery I would have died. He also has a great bedside manner.
