Dr. Alison Selbst, MD

I called in on a snowy Saturday afternoon to the Dr. on call. It was Ms. Selbst unfortunately for my son.. he had abruptly come down with a 102 degree fever overnight and had a cough and has a HISTORY of bronchitis with coughs left untreated. I asked her to call in an antibiotic sue to the fact that he has a fever along side the cough with his history. She first spoke to my husband. When she called back instead of introducing herself by name she simple, with a very bored and annoyed demeanor and tone, simply said,"its the Doctor..." no hello, no name.. my husband explained the symptoms and she said just to let him rest and drink water.. my husband requested the antibiotics to be on the safe side and she simply said no and to ta take him to Urgent Care if we want. I then called back to talk myself. When she FINALLY called back, she didn't introduce herself by name again so I asked her what her name is, I said,"Doctor Who,what is you're name?" She told me I'm very rude..

Dr. Selbts has been a wonderful Pediatrician. She has been not only my children's pediatrician but has been around caring for other children in my family for over 21 years. She is very patient and informative and generally concern about your children's well being.
