Dr. Alison Hermann, MD

Dr. Hermann is an excellent doctor. She is caring and very knowledgable in her field. I trust her judgment very much.

I've been seeing Dr. Hermann for 9 months now and my experience with her has been positive. She is one of the few reproductive psychiatrists in the state and is an expert in her field. She is also responsive, always replying to my emails within 24 hours. Most of all, she is a good listener and puts a lot of care into my recovery. I highly recommend her.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Hermann for eight years to manage manic depression. Under her care, these have been the healthiest and most stable years of my life. Instead of just managing meds based on labs (which past doctors have done) she takes the time to listen to my hopes, fears, and stressors. When considering potential challenges that will impact my mental health management (ex. Potential pregnancy, a new medical condition, major professional changes) she helps me understand and weigh the potential risks/benefits and chart a course forward that makes sense to both of us. Dr. Hermann is like that Tina Turner Song: "Simply the Best". She is one of the most professional psychiatrists as well as one of the most compassionate. She works diligently and persistently to help her patients. Her staff are also professional and kind. I worked with her when I had serious postpartum depression which she helped me overcome. More recently I reached out to her during the height of the pandemic and she continues to be extremely helpful during these very challenging times. Dr Hermann is fantastic. She isn’t cheap and doesn’t take insurance really, but her rates aren’t unreasonable, if you have out-of-network coverage. She’s the best psychiatrist I have ever seen, by far. The clinic is also well-run, has good hours and friendly, well-organized front desk staff.

Dr. Hermann is a wonderful physician, who listens to your needs and symptoms. She cares a lot and checks in often when medications change. Highly recommend this office to anyone.

Dr. Hermann is compassionate, very competent, and a professional through and through.
