Dr. Alicia Kenton, MD

Dr. Kenton was very knowledgeable and attentive. She listened to my concerns and address all of them. After my visit, she followed up with phone call to make sure I was following the instructions she provided and that my child was improving.

Went to this doctor at Hurtado Health Center in 2019. I was a freshman in college and I didn't have my car on campus, so traveling to the doctor was out of the question. I had injured my shoulder bench pressing and was pretty certain it was an AC joint sprain/separation based on like 30 minutes of googling. I brought this up, but Dr. Kenton convinced me it was a supraspinatus strain instead. When it still hurt over a month later after following Dr. Kenton's advice, I went to Rothman. They ordered more tests to make sure it wasn't something more serious (it wasn't), but they honestly acted like anyone should've diagnosed it as an AC joint sprain, like it was super common and obvious. There apparently was also a really simple differentiating test she could've done. Because she made the misdiagnosis, I was in unnecessary extended pain and needed additional tests done (with copays $$$ and time wasted to go along with that).
