Dr Alicia Boone is awful!!! This is my second review and only gets worse. She refused to see me in Tuesday I called Wednesday and Thursday and she posted she wanted to talk to me after my poor review. I called and she did not return my call. I called the office manager Denise today. This doctor posted she wanted to resolve this and for me to call but that was just a lie. She never called me back and now she's on vacation. She cannot decide if I have a cardiac, GI, or respiratory issue! She's an internist? She cannot make a diagnosis and she is going to make me wait till September to all referrals are done. Who does this! Well I sit here suffering nothing is being done. As people know with multiple medical problems it's hard to find a doctor you can trust. If I need a new doctor isn't going to be an easy fix and I feel like I've wasted my time waiting for her to help me and then she rejects me! She claims she won't see me because my symptoms are the same but worsened. That's not true!!!!... She does what she wants to make herself look better. I have new symptoms and they're horrible and she just takes off and goes on vacation. The office manager listen to me but she also challenged me with certain questions and acted like I was lying about information. All she has to do is look at the records and talk to Dr Boone's nurse Rick. He reiterated to me twice that she refuses to see me or treat me till September. Why do we ask patients allow doctors to treat us like this? Does anybody realize that the doctors work for us and we don't work for them. Fake physicals, referring to several other doctors, and not having the ability to diagnose a person is really really awful. Do not trust her and do not see her. Okay

Brief it is...
For physicals, she is quite brief. Typically spends less than a minute listening to my heart & lungs and little else unless I have a focused complaint. I almost feel like she is afraid to touch me and look at or assess other areas of my body. Gone are the days of head-to-toe skin checks and palpation of organs and looking into orifices! Are all doctors like this for patients over 65?

She has been my family's PCP for a long time now, but we are getting to a point were we need to switch from her. It has been nearly impossible to schedule visits with her and she micromanages the prescription refill process, which has made my skin condition sit in this weird limbo... Our whole family has been getting so frustrated with her office, and I really would recommend people looking elsewhere.

It seems like with "normal" health things, this doctor is wonderful. I was referred to her by a friend. Nurses and office staff were awesome! However, if you have some extra, non-diagnosed chronic health issues I would not recommend seeing her. As a woman in my late 20s, I was told that my symptoms were normal for a "middle-aged woman." I did not feel like I had an advocate, I did not feel listened to, and appointments felt very rushed and every concern I had was dismissed. When symptoms were "asked about" she would say "You don't have x, y,z, etc" rather than actually asking me-I did have those symptoms but didn't know how to advocate for myself at that time. She ran blood tests that had already been done one month before for no real reason-but it sure cost me a lot of money that didn't need to be spent. Because of these and numerous other issues, I have found a new family practice doctor after having been with her for a few years. I've had multiple appointments in that time.

Dr. Boone refused to refill my prescriptions (all of which SHE prescribed, and only 3 meds) after I was home from rehab, which would have made me go off medications “cold turkey.” One is a heart medication that should never be skipped or abruptly discontinued. She didn’t care - because I believe she has a bias against mental illness. The way she treated me was truly awful; worse I’ve ever been treated by a health care professional.

Dr. Boone is amazing! Not only does she make both me & my husband feel very comfortable with her, but she is also excellent with answering questions in terms we understand! She was extremely fast to contact me following questionable lab results & is on top of getting to the route of any issues at hand! We both highly recommend her & her staff!

I was a new patient and after a year and a half, she never did any lab work for me. I did not care for her lack of compassion and attention to details. I felt that she was not very knowledgeable regarding some of my health issues. I did not feel very comfortable with her and am going to seek out another primary care physician. I would NOT recommend her.
