I am not a patient; I am a former colleague of Dr. Papsun's. We worked together 21 years ago when I was a trainee at Yale Pyschiatric Institute. Dr. Papsun is knowledgeable, ethical, down to earth and compassionate with all of her patients. She has respect for her profession, her patients and for her colleagues. After all of these years she remains one of the psychiatrists whom I hold in the highest regard.

She was my first therapist and first psychiatrist. She helped me through my 20s and taught me how to develop as a woman and as a professional. She cared. She taught me to invest in myself. It was an incredible relationship. She taught boundaries. She gave me hope. Her words come into my head daily whether it is as a professional, since I'm a therapist too, or as an individual. Thank you, Dr. Papsun.
