she over books and doesn't give the time that each patient needs. Also argued that my child doesn't have chronic lyme disease I had to fight her just to get lab work for child.

Dr. Alice is the best. We relocated from across the country and needed a pediatrician for our three kids and are so happy that we found her.

Hands down the best Dr., PA/NP and staff. Top notch and personalized care and respect from the time of initial contact with the staff, to the visit with the Dr. or PA, and follow up. This practice goes out of it's way and above and beyond for each of their pediatrics patients and for their parents. Grateful to have them caring for our twins over the years. Even cares for patients when they are out of the country!!! Superior care in treating emotional and physical health.

My experience with Dr. Merkrebs & her staff has been very positive! She's caring, attentive, & always welcoming. She works long hours (INCLUDING SATURDAY!) to ensure her schedule coincides with her patients' availability! I have never seen such accommodations before! It's almost as if she treats her staff & patients like a familial community. She's super knowledgable, and I feel like my family & I are in fantastic hands under her care & medical expertise. Left CHC for this office. Best decision by far! While the office is smaller, they are so much more of a pediatrics office rather than a business. Thank you Alice and Joan for welcoming my girls.

We would Not recommend Alice Merkrebs to treat our pet fish, forget any of our children - Absolutely No Pun Intended. While this office is staffed with wonderful nurses and office associates, Ms. Merkrebs, herself, should be required to update her State license, at the very least, as she IS THE LICENSED MD of the office, not "nurse practitioner, Joan." Alice lacks competence when it comes to the way she manages possible, problematic complications due to "biting off more than she can chew."

We are foster parents that care for young infants with high medical needs including: NAS infants, genetic disorders, HIV exposure and the developmental effects of neglect and abuse, along with the more common ear infections, vacinations, etc.. As a result we have had more office visits then one would expect for normal well infant care.The entire staff of Newburyport Pediatrics has always been available and supportive to our children's needs. Also helpful with any referrals to specialists
