Dr. Alice Mendelson, MD

Dr Alice has treated me for calcific tendinitis in my shoulder and for a fractured hip and it has helped me very much for both. I think she is a very good doctor.

Dr Alice performed shoulder surgery on me in 2012 and I have been pain free since…until recently. I went back to see her and she is still the same friendly, thorough, and straight to the point doc. I was so glad she was still there for me to see since she did my other surgery and I trust her. She will not steer you wrong and will not make a quick decision for surgery. She will exhaust all other options and work with you to your comfort level. Highly recommended!

Dr Alice and her staff made my osteo experiences with them so rewarding! Kindness, professionalism, and competency abound in their practice. I had 3 different problems, all resolved. 2 surgeries and even a rewarding experience with their OT therapist. I trust her with my well-being.

The staff very friendly and Dr. Alice will take all the time you need. You are not rushed

How she’s so interested in what’s going on with you. She cares a lot about her patients. Attentive. Listens to your needs and takes time with you.

I had agonizing pain in my right hip. Dr. Alice Mendelson did a procedure on my hip. I was able to walk out of the clinic with little or no pain. I will refer Dr. Alice Mendelson to my family and friends.

I didn’t feel like the doctor was concerned about me & my problem. Not sure if it’s because of the virus or what. I had two torn meniscus,and after surgery I didn’t feel that the correct steps were taken. I was sent home with after surgery papers and machine that you put on the leg and it blows up and down but that was it. Weeks later there was still swelling in my knee, leg and foot. I called the office complaining then they ordered PT. Im still calling the office with complaints, still swelling . They ordered some compression socks. That helped the foot & leg but did nothing for my knee. I’m in PT , it’s going fine but still swelling in my knee, I call the office complaining, then they ordered thigh high compression socks. . I did have another visit with the doctor and informed her that there was still knee pain and I would be moving from Michigan. She said maybe she could drain the fluid off my knee. At that point I didn’t know what to do, she could have explained better

I really think this practice has good doctors. Dr. Alice knows her stuff and I’d recommend her. She will continue to be my Dr. for any orthopedic needs.

Not very gentle. Also there seems to be a lot of staff saying “it’s office policy” a term to get away with something when they don’t want to deal with it. Such as family members. My mom is 80 years old and I’m being told by a guy who does xrays that I can’t come with my mom to speak with a SURGEON because it’s “policy”? VERY BADLY DONE DOCTORS!! Any elderly should be able to have the comfort of at least ONE family member to an elderly to be able to recall conversations etc. DEMENTIA OR NOT! Secondly, I’m told she needs to take the very next appt time on her return date I’m not allowed an afternoon appt that day because “policy” AS IF your time is more important than mine?? So okay I said to your secretary switch my mothers appt to a different day when there’s a next afternoon appt open. Again I’m told, ”oh I can’t, policy” Further tying my hands. It’s not like you offer a service nobody else offers. Your staff wasn’t what I’d call rude but I wouldn’t call them friendly. This Dr is a NO

Very thorough. Pinpointed my problem.

I have been seeing an orthopedic surgeon for 2 years. Every-time I went for excruciating knee pain I was told I needed surgery and given an injection. Dr Alice is the only Dr who told me I have fluid in my knee and then extracted that fluid. I have been 75 % more mobile since then.

Examined me told me what to expect, treatment was almost instant relief. Referred me to therapy. Had similar results there

Seeing Dr Alice for hip pain. She administered cortisone shot in left hip. Very minimal pain associated with procedure.

Dr. Mendelson is very thorough with her examination. And I am sure she will find out what ,y problem with my knee is.

An absolute terrible office. Went in to get my knee checked out. I had an MRI and everything done. The lady doctor, I think Mendelson, came in the room, asked me 2 questions, read off what the report of the MRI said (I had it read before I came in) and said to put ice on it and come back in a month. She was literally in the room for no more than three minutes. I would never, ever go back to this office. Ended up billing me $200+. Such a joke
