He was incredibly condescending and did not make me feel cared for as a patient.

It would be hard to exaggerate his dismissive, arrogant approach. It may be bias against women. It may just be hubris. I can't warn strongly enough to avoid him. I met another patient of his -- also female -- that experienced the same degrading treatment. It's like taking a step 60 years back in time when drs routinely spoke to husbands, not wives.

I was impressed with the thoroughness of the exam and the warmth of providers. I would recommend Dr. Samii and Dr. Wu to anyone with a movement disorder.

I haven't been a patient of Dr. Samii's personally, but my father was. When I saw these low ratings, I was shocked, and thought I'd better weigh in. Dr. Samii was my father's neurologist for over a decade. Although I never attended an appointment personally (as I lived on the opposite coast) my father loved Dr. Samii and respected him greatly. My father was a (Mass General trained) neurologist with Parkinson's disease. He was very grateful to have his Parkinson's managed by Dr. Samii.
