Disorganized
I had a colonoscopy scheduled for a date on September. The day before the procedure, I was on a liquid diet and was not eating at all. I was getting ready to drink my prep, and around 6 p.m., I received a call from the medical assistant that there was a miscommunication and that Dr. Chavez needed to reschedule my colonoscopy. I felt frustrated because I wanted to get this procedure over with. Mistakes like these should not be happening in a profession like his. Super unprofessional. Also, do not bother leaving messages because his medical assistant and nurse practitioner will not return your call.

Under the circumstances of the times, it was an incredibly great office visit. The staff was prepared, professional, and pleasant. The doctor was incredibly wonderful and patient. It was a thorough office visit where I felt any concerns I had were discussed and resolved. I left thinking Dr Chavez is a great doctor who I would definitely recommend.

Worst Doctor ever! My niece was a patient of his for 3 years. Had every test imaginable, never any diagnosis. He soaked up her insurance money. She could not eat it drink and lost over 100 lbs. She died at age 46. From something that could of been treated which was a complete oversight.

I was supposed to have a procedure done by Dr. Chavez at Providence Hospital and showed up with orders on the date shown on orders. I took two days off from work and took nasty prep medicine and at nothing for the whole day. Providence told me I was not scheduled until the following month and that the staff at Dr. Chavez' office obviously written down the wrong date. Very unprofessional and irresponsible on their part they never call back when they say they will and do not call in refills

I was referred to this doctor after being in the ER and only saw his PA which didn't listen to my concerns and all she said was that she had patients younger than me with cancer and for that reason they needed to do and endoscopy and colonoscopy. I left very concern I think that she should reserve her comments until she has results I did have the endoscopy done and everything was fine. I went back for results and still had health issues to what she said that she couldn't help me anymore.

Extremely rush, kept cutting me off, would not listen to what I was saying, just typed into a computer, did no physical exam, waited weeks for this appt, in meantime had to visit ER, staff will not get you in immediately, even if you say I'm calling from the ER. I was absolutely stunned. The female nurse practitioner does a much better job but I wanted to see the Dr himself this time because it's getting worse. Shocked doesn't begin to describe it.

Except for the actual procedures I have had, I have yet to have an appointment with Dr Chavez. I always see the PA. The PA's are helpful, and knowledgeable. I cannot leave messages because their mail box is always full. Since I did not get a confirmation call regarding my appointment, I tried to call to find out the time of my appontment. When I finally got through, I was on hold for 20 minutes. The office environment is too cold in winter, and too hot in the summer.
