Great Dr but poorly run office
Waiting time unbelievably long…over an hr. Waiting room standing room only. Office staff wont let you know how far behind they are running. Once went in for allergy testing, waited about 30 min before being called back to tell me they are sorry that they didnt have the allergy kit to test me and someone should have called me to reschedule. I found a new pulmonologist.

Unprofessional and disappointing
This so-called professional couldn't be bothered to contact us concerning cancer cells found in lung. We contacted another Doctor who checked the Baptist portal, saw the test results and immediately had an oncologist team from MD Anderson Cancer Center schedule an appointment. This is unforgivable and unprofessional.

Can't wait to find a new pulmonologist group.
Doctor seems fine, but the staff!!! I was diagnosed on my first visit and given a prescription for an inhaler. The inhaler is not covered by my insurance. In spite of numerous attempts by the pharmacy and myself to get a prescription for a covered product, I still have no inhaler. There is apparently one person who is the gatekeeper and she is overwhelmed. If you are lucky enough to speak with her, she will unload all of her troubles on you, but absolutely will not care at all about your needs. As a retired pharmacist, I sympathize with the crazy workload and her frustration, but as a patient I am not impressed.

Terrible! stay away and stay safe
The waiting room was packed elbow to elbow. The waiting time was extremely long. My lungs reacted to the scent in the room, probably mold overgrowth and fragrance pumped in to cover it. The staff was downright rude and would not help. I would not advise anyone with lung issues to go there

I’d give them 0 stars. Worst experience ever.
The staff is terrible. They specialize in breathing and allergies, yet they have allergens throughout the office. They pump fragrance through the office vents. The staff yelled at me multiple times. I almost passed out from not being able to breathe due to the allergens and fragrance throughout the office. Nobody listened to me. I suffer from asthma and severe allergies. They made fun of me. I will never go back. This was the worst office I’ve ever been to in my life.

Absolutely the rudest Dr I've ever met. He barked orders in the hallway and I heard his staff: "yes, sir. Right away sir!" etc. like boot camp. Arrogant with me too

Dr Vazquez provided excellent service. Unfortunately that is where it stops. After making 3 attempts to get an estimate prior to a yearly check up,and knowing my insurance changed the third attempt the office said nothing. However, despite my efforts to avoid surprises I was still greated with one a month later with Bill for over $360. That is a far stretch from 0. I was trying to prepare for such potential cost and for that reason I canceled the follow-up from that point as I can not trust the staff. Called front desk for an explanation and I get a response of you really didn't think it would be 0 did you. Of course that's why I called your office 3 times prior to try and get an estimate. I advised I'm will no longer be a patient and they were completely fine with that.

In between looking for another doctor, my med refills run out and then pharmacy tells me that this office never returns messages and or cant get refills completed for me, I then go to an appointment and explain to staff and they try to flip around like it is my fault, really they ask a question instead of were sorry and will call these in right away to your pharmacy, it is terrible service that the staff member cant even see they are so bad at people skills, then they leave the room mad acting like a child that didnt get their toy, in the end i leave still not knowing if my med refills were electronically called in, not knowing is unacceptable and that is why I am doctor shopping, thing is there are so many to choose from, that place is the perfect environment to do what they are not doing, the inexperienced trains the new ones and cycle repeats itself, they do a better job at weighing you than diagnosing you medically

Just had my first visit with Dr Vazquez. What a great caring Dr. I am in Covid Recovery. I left there feeling very positive about my situation. He answered all my questions and some. I should have started with staff. There was no wait to get in and get started. Every one of them were very nice and caring. I thought I would never say I am looking forward to going to a Dr . but I can't wait until my next appointment. What a pleasant experience! Thank you all!

they call him a good doctor but I had alot of congestion and coughing issues, and all he has is inhalers for tools and nothing else, my issues are from cancer and tend to be complicated and this guy is so arrogant he could not recommend a interventional pulmonologist that has a speciality like putting a stent in my airways that are getting smaller from post treatment changes, he would rather keep me as a patient to make money instead of me getting proper treatment from a specialist, so if that is a definition of a good doctor then I could be a doctor and just prescribe inhalers all day long, he is a terrible doctor that is driven by greed and will diagnose incorrectly before he admits he does not know what I have, then not admit error, I am a seasoned patient and see alot of doctors and have seen them all, Vazquez is borderline doctor that is good with Asthma patients, he has not had enough years in the trade to be good yet even then he has that chip on his shoulder

Dr, Vasquez takes his time and listens to his patient. He explains things in a clear concise manner. He zeros in on the problem and then outlines a plan of action. I would highly recommend this doctor. His staff is kind and accommodating as well.

The Dr. Really impressed me while I was at baptist beaches since Saturday I was released tonight with a small pneumothorax under strict directions of bed rest and follow up wirh him next week! He really came to work early today to run more xrays and to finally take out chest tube and he was actually scheduled at Memorial today. He made my Christmas miracle happen and im home recovering for Christmas! Awesome doctor ?

The doctor seemed OK, unfortunately the wait times are well over an hour, and since they are backed up, the appointments seem kind of rushed. Also, it is very difficult to contact the staff. I had to go into the office to make the appointment because no one answered. Even worse, the pharmacy couldn't get a hold of the doctor when there was a problem with the prescription. I also tried to reach them through the doctor's assistant line without any luck. So as it stands, my condition has gone untreated. I'll probably be switching doctors very soon.

Now I’ve calmed down.I took my elderly mother in to see Dr. Vazquez for her 1st visit with him.We waited 1 hour and 5 min in the exam room and when she walked out to ask what was taking so long She was informed that he was not there and did not know where he was.Minutes later they came in to say he was in the parking lot on the way up. He came into the room with his mask just above his mouth and my mother asked him to pull his mask up.She’s 82 and at great risk.He said “don’t worry I’ve had covid and I have antibodies” and my mother was flabbergasted. He went on to explain that he had to drive 1 1/2 hours to take his sons lunch to him.My mother replied that he could have called and let someone know.It was NOT off to a good start. He then asked if she wanted the visit or not.She said ok and he continued the surly condescending attitude towards her thinking that we were upsetting him.We finished the tense visit without me saying a word and we walked out never to return. Not worth your time
