Passive, inaccurate, not an advocate for women
Refused to schedule my tubal ligation surgery despite the fact that I already received the mandatory counseling, signed the legal consent forms, and completed NYS' mandatory waiting period. Did not ask me ONE SINGULAR question about my medical history or why I was seeking the surgery. (We have never met before and he knew NOTHING about me other than my age.) He literally walked into the appointment shaking his head at my in disapproval and then INACCURATELY cited antiquated research about the "regret" that some patients feel after the procedure. When I reported his behavior to the front desk, they were equally as shocked and appalled. Do not see this man if you value your reproductive freedom.

Dr. Shilkrut is a very smart physician. I have been his patient for the past four years and I have been very happy with his care. Not only he asks my medical history questions- that he updates in every check up, he also listens to me, as a patient. A good doctor is a doctor who listens carefully to his patient and is able to make a tentative diagnosis before the big tests. Dr. Shilkrut is that kind of a physician.
