I waited 4 months for an appointment. His office told me that to be safe I should take a half day of work. I did and it was unpaid time. He spent so little time to me and dismissed my symptoms coming up with a documented explanation but explaining it to me as being obese. I was so hoping he would help take the inflammation and joint pain I have experienced over the course of years (also occurring when I was not obese) and come up with something other than that is something that happens with increased weight. Referred me back to my PCP with a list of concerns and not to worry about my inflammation markers.

Absolutely not!
I have seen rheumatologists for 24 years. This man does not listen. He offers no plan of action or course of treatment. He only question ( repeated 3 times during visit) was “what medication do u want?” Good grief. He ran into a dead end on his problem solving with every drug. So he finally said,” why don’t u just try xxx”. Awful! Who was the dr in the room? It wasn’t him!

He made me feel like my weight was the problem, even though I had this issue when I weighed 100 lbs. He then gives me medication that made me gain another 20lbs

I would not recommend this doctor or be back. I was referred for suspicion of an auto immune disorder and he was very arrogant and acted like I had no business coming to see him. He questioned other doctor's reasons for sending me. He made me feel like I was exaggerating what was happening with me.

I have already left my opinion about Dr.Alex Brown and he deserves all five stars!!i told you all that he figured out what my problem was (systemic scleroderma). It is painful and I need him as my Dr.again but because I was unable to keep two appointments the ladies that work the front desk or who ever makes appointments informed me that they wouldn't make me a return appointment because I had not been able to keep two appointments. I wonder if Dr. Brown knows that is why I've not been back.
