Inappropriate Diagnosis!
After a few eye exams with RX’s for new lenses I trusted this doctor’s opinion. UNTIL, a severe irritation occurred in my left eye. I sought his advice. He looked at my eye for about 10 seconds indicating ‘it’s just a sty, use warm compresses’. A few weeks passed without relief so I sought a second opinion elsewhere only to learn I had a severe infection (no sty!) requiring weeks of antibiotics. Also diagnosed with a chalazion, with referral to an eye surgeon for its removal.SO, if you need treatment other than new glasses, consider second or third opinions elsewhere!

highly recommended
Dr. Alex is a knowledgeable and skilled ophthalmologist. He is thorough in his evaluation and gets to know his patients personally. In today's world of impersonal corporate medicine, it is a pleasure going to a small office where you can get personal service. I have referred my wife and several close friends, all who have been very happy with Dr. Alex's care. I recommend him highly and without reservation.

Very satisfied
The ER said I should have an ophthalmologist examine my eye ASAP. I called Dr. Alex Manguikian, my regular ophthalmologist. He opened the office just to examine me. Did a thorough exam, and gave recommendations; I have had no further issues.

They checked my daughter with her current glasses and she was 20/20. I asked them for prescription, I was told she needed to come again for prescription. I went to Costco submit my own prescription, it is missing the reading part for progressive. I called the doctor's office, they told me they can mail it to me. I am not sure if they even checked or just forgot to write it down. This was our second year to go there. I like the doctor, but they are in rush and I will not go back there again.
