Dr. Collins recently performed a left knee replacement surgery on me and he did an amazing job. He also performed Meniscus surgery in both knees (once in 2013 and in 2021) and I was pleased with his great work and professionalism. I definitely have recommended him to all my friends and coworkers. ??

Great Doctor
I had two meniscus tears repaired in one knee. No scar, very little pain and minimal recovery time. Explained procedure and what to expect in detail. Recommend.

Surgery performed and opinion of staff
While on vacation in Colorado I suffered a knee injury. The local orthopedist was quick to say my injury would require surgery. Before leaving Colorado my wife and I phoned ahead to Champion Orthopedics text a picture of my drivers lic and insurance card and my appointment was set with Dr Alex Collins. One appointment and X-ray confirmed the necessity for surgery. The staff Andrew Dr Collins did a great job. A few therapy visits and my life was back to normal. I highly recommend Dr Collins and the staff at Champions.

Professional, efficient, knowledgeable
Dr Collins was quick to get me in when I hurt my ankle. He performed X-rays, talked to me in terms I could understand, put me in a boot, and checked on me throughout my healing! I would highly recommend Dr Collins!

Dr Collins is the ONLY orthopedic i would ever go to or recommend! His bedside manner is like no other doctor I’ve ever been to. He listens, he cares about his patients and he’s a great diagnostician. I went to him for both hip pain and shoulder pain. He pinpointed the pain in both and had me pain free in no time. He repaired my husbands torn meniscus and he recovered easily. I can’t say enough good things about this doctor. He’s the BEST there is! I’ve sent several people to him and they feel the same!

A year under Collins care, I had two surgeries that was poorly performed. When I was told in September (4wks) after my 2nd surgery that it were supposed to be successful. I had no use of my dominate right hand nor arm. I were told by him I needed a third surgery. Take into consideration this was told to me in Sept. 21. He suggested that I see another specialist to see what was causing this and once the results was received he would follow up with surgery. I never received a follow up from his staff. Why under his care, he could never answer my questions as to why this was happening, never had an alternate besides surgery. He was not concern about the sever pain, I had been on a narcotic for a year which is very dangerous. Finally, I became feed up with his excuses and seek a second opinion. Could not have made a better decision, “thanks to Augusta Orth. I am free of pain “. My surgery on Valentines Day 2/14/22 was a success. Goodbye to Collins and his staff, will never recommend.

He and staff were attentive to my 88 yr old mother in laws needs after breaking her shoulder. She fractured this same arm one year prior and he had to do surgery for that particular break which was in wrist and forearm. We have been pleased with the care she received from Dr Collins plus she tells us he is “very easy on the eyes” and I must say pics don’t do him justice LOL.

Dr. Collins completely misdiagnosed my son. I brought him in due to a hairline fracture of his big toe, diagnosed by a radiologist. Dr. Collins claimed there was no fracture and it was just inflammation and put my son on steroids. I took my son to another orthopedic surgeon, who quickly found the fracture in his big toe. He needed a boot or a hard sole shoe to protect his foot from further injury and over the counter meds for pain. The steroids were completely unnecessary. Also, be aware of the extra X-ray scam. We had x-rays already and we were told they could not pull them up, so they wanted to take more in their office. So, now we have to pay for x-rays twice. Once to the radiologist who diagnosed my son correctly, and again to Dr. Collins who apparently could not read the X-rays, took more, and then misdiagnosed my son. Dr. Collins was not open to hearing concerns and I did not feel like he was really listening to us at all. I would not recommend his at all.

Very disappointing. Doc didn't want to order an MRI originally bc of previous surgeries. My old surgeon recommended MRI with an arthrogram. MRI showed a rotator cuff tear & he told me there was no tear. He had no idea what was wrong with my shoulder. Had old surgeon do surgery & rotator was torn 75%. How does one miss that?
