Dr. Aletheia Donahue, MD

Dr. Donahue is hands down one of the best doctors I’ve ever encountered. Her bedside manner is exceptional—she is warm, kind, and always takes the time to make you feel comfortable. She is incredibly thorough in her approach, leaving no stone unturned, yet she never overreacts or rushes into decisions.What sets her apart is her calm and reassuring demeanor. She explains everything in a way that’s easy to understand, and you never feel rushed or dismissed. Dr. Donahue truly listens to her patients, which is such a rarity these days. She is also very thoughtful in her care, avoiding unnecessary tests or medications, which I deeply appreciate.Every visit with her feels like a partnership in my health, and I always leave feeling informed and cared for. I can’t recommend her enough to anyone looking for a doctor who genuinely puts her patients first.

I've been seeing Dr Donahue for approx 2 years, and this past year she helped me through a stubborn mid-life health issue. She is a good listener, and takes time with me. I ask a lot of questions, and never feel rushed. Getting prescriptions filled is never an issue, I use the Mass General online app (patient gateway) and responses are quick.

On June 14th Dr. Donahue refused to refill my crucial blood pressure medication for reasons unknown but she has dragged her feet several times in prescribing my medications. She seems uncommitted to my care and passing that on to her NP‘s and I question Dr. Donahue’s communication with those NP’s.

Addresses complicated, complex issues; office and follow up excellent.

I would not recommend Dr. Donahue as a primary care physician. She might be fine outside of One Medical but inside this practice it is "fast food" medicine. Appointments are kept short, comprehensive blood work is not done past the basic CBC panel and comprehensive diagnostic testing is not performed for fear of losing health insurance coverage for the practice. Concerns are brushed off by this doctor and the typical mantra of just exercise and lose weight without support are too frequent.
