Dr. Gruneiro was very knowledgeable in his field but he wasn’t great at communication and didn’t encourage questions. He also didn’t explain much about why I had an appointment with him. I wouldn’t recommend him, having failed to heal the gastric ulcer which was caused by the full gastric bypass surgery he performed on me.

Love him after 2009 my mom had horrible time he has saved her life more than once. He done few revision and hernia surgery on her dude her gastric bypass and the way she heals. She's that 5% on things that can go wrong. He's done my gallbladder surgery my cyst underneath my arm and my tailbone cyst he's always had a great bedside manner with us and has always had 24-hour service when my mom needed him the most. Would completely recommend him

I still experience intestinal issues because of a botched appendectomy January 2017. He was arrogant, incompetent and we fired him

My review is not a reflection of Dr. Gruneiro himself but of my experience in trying to have my gallbladder removed by him. I was referred to him by an OR nurse in the area but when getting things scheduled there were some communication breakdowns. When the office Manager, Mary, called me and I explained(or tried to) my frustrations I was interrupted numerous times and asked “well what do you want me to do?” This office lacks accountability for mistakes as well as poor bedside manner.

Dr. Gruneiro removed my gallbladder years (many) years ago... It was nothing but routine for him... No upsets at all... I am very grateful at him and plan to see him soon for new ailments (you know... age....)!!

I have seen Dr. G six time preparing for Bariatric surgery. He explained the procedure the first time and had asked me if I have any questions each time. He is very personable and has a cute sense of humor. The nutritionist recommends him highly. This is pretty major surgery and I am confident putting my faith in him.

Dr. A Gruneiro was the surgeon who did a routine appendectomy on me January 5, 2017. My appendix was inflamed but not ruptured. It should have been routine. The technique must have been flawed since it resulted in an abscess growing with 200ml of nasty germ bacteria by the time it was discovered 5days later. Missed in the first scan. Also, I developed Ileus which is a paralysis of the intestines. I could not have a bowel movement for 10 days . He refused to treat it. He is arrogant and rude

This man is the epitome of the arrogant surgeon. He is brusque, non-responsive to patient questions and seems to think that his is the only opinion that counts. He was three hours late to surgery and provided no explanation to anyone for his tardiness. In spite of being told that I would not undergo major surgery locally, he attempted to schedule a complex procedure for the day after my laparoscopy (full open surgery). I subsequently have found that there are safer, less painful options. Avoid.

Wow, I am thoroughly impressed by Dr. Gruneiro's practice! He has an excellent bedside manner and takes time to explain things in detail. Extremely attentive and friendly staff. Truly a pleasure to be a patient in his practice.

My husband had a pre-cancerous spot removed off his chest by Dr. Gruneiro. He did an excellent job! I felt very comfortable with him and his staff. We called for an appointment on Monday, was in the office on Tuesday, and my husband had his procedure on Wednesday of the same week. I have already recommended Dr. Gruneiro to many of my friends.

This butcher opened my wife with abdominal surgeries 4 times starting Oct. 30th, 2013. After 4th he left her open, came to me and said I can't do it must send her to Tampa where she was evaluated and couldn't be helped. She died May 18, 2014. This man won't tell you anything. He yells at you and says she can do anything she wants to. SHE WANTED TO LIVE. After 4 attorneys and another medical opinion, I'm dropping her case. The legal and medical groups stick together. BEWARE OF THIS DR
