Dr. Albert Tsai, MD

Dr Tsai is dis-respectful to the patients. He "writes them up" as if the patients "work for him." What a bunch of "....!"

I'm glad I found dr Tsai. He helped me get back on my feet after a major depressive episode. He went direct to the point when explaining my medical situation. He believes in theraphy and helped me solve my problem without heavy drugs. This is the second doctor that I visited. The first one was a disaster. But...to get out of my depression I had to work really hard on myself, read articles that he recommended and watch a lot of videos. It worked for me.

I would stay away from this doctor. His solution seems to be more drugs without looking at the whole picture. I also felt like he was talking down to me.

Dr Tsai was very helpful when I was in an emergency psychiatric state. He didn't just look at the paperwork and make broad swath recommendations. He really listened, gave me skills to use at home, gave me options for medication, followed up quickly and I really felt taken care of. I felt safe again.

The only Dr I have ever heard or prescribing Ambien for treatment of depression. Unfortunately I had the displeasure of having Dr Tsai as my primary physiatrist for three months. The very symptoms I went to him for had worsened after 3 months of his care. My final straw was when I told him my depression was getting much worse and he wanted me to start taking Ambien on a nightly basis. This after I told him that my sleep was fine. The staff at Overlake Hospital are awesome, to bad he is a quack!!
