Dr. Albert Hartman, MD

I was referred to Dr. Hartman by my nurse midwife after discovering I had an unviable pregnancy. I was to consult with him as I was interested in a D & C procedure, which must be done by an MD. Dr. Hartman met with my husband and I and pointed out repeatedly what was wrong with the embryo on the ultrasound screen, kept saying how it wasn’t viable. Regarding the D & C, he said his schedule was full and he couldn’t ethically schedule me for the surgery because I didn’t have extenuating circumstances to justify it. He said he wanted me to wait another week, come back in if I hadn’t miscarried naturally and then he would consider surgery or the miscarriage pill. He kept saying he wouldn’t ETHICALLY do the procedure because my body hadn’t recognized the miscarriage and nature hadn’t taken course, and apparently there was a chance there would be growth on the ultrasound despite the many issues incompatible with pregnancy. He made my husband and I feel that we were asking for an abortion.

I saw a different doctor for all 8.5 months, but was having a horrible experience with my OB. So bad that I decided to try and switch doctors just days before delivery. I called his office, they heard me out- squeezed me in the next day and Dr.Hartman took over. He completely changed our labor experience. Even though we ended up doing and emergency CS, he made it comfortable and memorable (as it should be). The nurses at Ogden Regional told me that if they could rate doctors , he'd be number 1.

Dr. Hartman is an outstanding doctor. It is evident how devoted he is to his patients and profession. I had a higher risk twin pregnancy and the whole care experience with him was amazing. As I had a higher risk pregnancy, I looked long and hard for the best doctor for the safety of me and my children. Very happy with my choice! He is attentive to every detail, making sure you are informed on your best care options. I am so grateful I had him as my doctor! By far, the best doctor I've ever had.

I would recommend Dr. Hartman to anyone. He has delivered my 5 children (1 set of twins), and has also done a bladder repair on me. I wouldn't go to anyone else. He is an outstanding Dr and has a great office staff too!

You cant call his office and get through to anyone! Hes extremely rude and has awful bedside manner, called my stillborn baby a demise when he would talk about him, he doesn't know how to give individual care, its all from the book, like he told me theres no way I would go early knowing full well my history of early births and stillborn and even told me my last doctor didn't do their job right putting me on medication I was put on to keep a previous successful pregnancy. Hes just an awful doctor
