Dr. Alan Sunshine, MD

I don't know what made me think of my experience with Dr. Sunshine. I saw him for constipation which I felt was due to antidepressants I was taking. He didn't listen when I said I felt my symptoms were due to the meds and he assured me that there was nothing serious wrong but that to make me happy, he would do some testing. I was kind of surprised because I thought I had been clear that I had no concern about the reason for my constipation but was just concerned with management. Then he said, "I've seen thousands of women like you, on antidepressants - you have IBS." I didn't have IBS anyway - I had a med side effect. He said, "If you just took a spinning class, you wouldn't need antidepressants" (I didn't come for the lifestyle tip). Lastly, I said I was concerned that a barium enema (which I didn't feel I needed) would expose me to unnecessary radiation. He said, "There is little or no radiation involved." Partly true (little - almost certainly not harmful - but not "no").

This Doctor will get you dead.... and then falsify your medical record to cover up his mistake ... he did this to me.. and I can prove it...PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS GUY and make sure he documents his withdrawal time for colonoscopy procedures (should be (6) six min minimum per the standard of care... look at your records (PLEASE).... I am wearing a permanent bag because of this Guy!!!

Probably the worst doctor in Atlanta. Each visit I have had to wait over an hour past my appointment time for him to see me and then each time he has walked out of the exam room and left me there for over 30 minutes with no explanation. He is rude and unprofessional. You try to talk to him about your symptoms and he cuts you off in mid sentence and says "No I dont think so"

The office apparently WAY overscheduled and my mom had a very long wait only to see the doctor who seemed rushed, didn't know why she was there (even tho 7 pages of patient forms were filled out and sent before the visit), didn't provide anything other than a generic sheet. She doesnt' even know what he wants her to do or why. He apparently did not spend enough time to find out that the 'lifestyle changes' recommended on the sheet are not applicable or to try to find out what is.

wait times are always 1-2 HRS - so bring a snack. Front desk staff is nice. Sunshine's assistant is rude, forgetful, untruthful, borderline abusive, gives incorrect test results, impatient. Dr Alan Sunshine is always very rushed to point of forgetting important patient information, walks out of exam room during appt & sometimes doesn't return, gives incorrect test results, reads computer & cell phone simultaneously while patient is talking. Don't see this doctor if you value your well being.

My experience with Dr. Sunshine was excellent. I would definitely recommend Dr. Sunshine.
