Just a terrible experience
I was referred to Dr. Kaufman by my primary doctor. When I called, they gave me the bait and switch. I asked about the Gramerton Avenue office and was directed to East Tremont. I have never encountered such an unprofessional office. I already had a bad feeling after my initial visit. I was made wait an hour today to be given false information about requirements for my insurance for follow up blood tests and turned away. I called back after speaking to my insurance and confirming that authorization was not needed, and that they never even applied for authorization, I was told I can only speak to someone in person and then the clerk hung the phone on me. Do not waste your time as you will not get accurate information, nor will they give you the full name ( I was told that I spoke to Bill, no role or last name given) of the people who give you inaccurate information when you call to try to straighten things out.

Just the worst. Don’t go there. He yelled at me for decisions my physician made prior me coming to him. He has no people skills and is rude and ready to retire. Sickening how “done” he is with you, the patient, and on a first visit! He never sat down and kept standing in the doorframe open to the waiting room for my first consult and kept picking up the phone to argue over money with his staff. He never wanted to see my photo diary of Severe Hives that are debilitating my life. He just didn’t care.

This man saved my life. I was being treated for hives and asked him to take a look at a new blood report I had ( not ordered by him ). He didn't have to, if he said that my PCP should see it, not him, I would have understood. Upon reading it he noticed numbers that didn't sit well with him. I informed my doctor in my medical group and we proceeded on a road that involved a partial nephrectomy. There was a cancerous tumor growing on my kidney and also trying to attach itself to my liver. He is an efficient and thoughtful health provider that I treasure

This office is a mess - every single time I have an appointment, the wait is an hour to an hour and a half PAST my appointment time. There is never an apology for the wait or comment made by the Dr or the staff. Dr doesn't make eye contact or look at you during appointments. Clearly only cares about making $$ and not about the patient experience.

doctor barely greeted himself as he walked in and sat with his back turned to me. didn't listen to what i had to say and berated me for what I got in to the conversation. bedside manner is terrible. he also talks/mumbles under his breath and gets upset when i ask him to repeat himself. would give 0 stars if I could.

I brought my father here for an allergy test. We were the only patients there for an afternoon appointment. We waited a long time, and were told by the receptionist that the doctor had to run to the bank. We were finally shown into an examination room, where we waited another 20 minutes. When we finally saw the doctor, he was arrogant and condescending. A totally horrible experience.
