Dr. Alan Jones, DO

Dr. Jones is one of the best providers I have ever had the pleasure of visiting, and I have a long history of chronic illness so I’ve seen quite a few doctors in my time. I have struggled with extreme fatigue and other common thyroid symptoms for about 5 yrs now. I ended up with a lump in my neck and was referred to Dr Jones for an ultrasound. Dr Jones quickly identified that I have Hashimotos and even though he’s an ENT surgeon, he has been extremely helpful in assisting with hormone replacement while I look for an endocrinologist. I also ended up needing a biopsy of a nodule in my thyroid that returned as suspicious of cancer, and Dr Jones referred me to another ENT surgeon to have my lobectomy because he is not as experienced in complex thyroid condition surgeries. I admire his honesty and integrity, because I ended up with the best ENT surgeon for thyroid in UT. Dr Jones truly cares about his patient outcomes and he actually listens to your symptoms, not just test results.

Everyone in my family sees Dr Jones. We all like him so much! I have a lot of health problems & have seen good doctors & some that I’d never go back to. Dr Jones is a really good one! He spends extra time listening to & answering questions. He seems to enjoy explaining things & in a way that is easy to understand. The longest we’ve had to wait for an appointment is a week & is more often a day or two. We’ve never had to wait long in the waiting room. I also appreciate that he has treated me conservatively rather than jumping into sinus surgery & then he explains why! I have referred many people to him & I will continue to do so. I don't think Ive ever left a review for a doctor online like this before. I just thought it was important to leave this one.

I highly recommend Dr. Jones. He took the time to listen to all of my concerns; is thorough in his examination and explanations. I didn't feel rushed or dismissed at all, which is typical for many doctors in my experience. He is both competent and has a great bedside manner.

I have considering this for a while, I can no longer deny that while I do not blame him for my cancer, I believe he completely miss diagnosed me, saw him in January 3 min he pronounces me to have issue with an Eustachian tube, this was NEVER an issue for me, 30 days later I was back with a lump in the back of my throat and a very swollen lymph node that was NOT painful (bad sign), he acknowledged by did nothing with the lymph node did not check it or examine it, he scope me said look like THROAT infection. put me on antibiotics for weeks after no improvement I called them several times and was never answered or no return calls, at this point I went to A REAL DOCTOR and got a second opinion whom immediately saw my lymph node and scoped me and said, Biopsy and CT scan withing 3 days, Well it was NECK & THROAT cancer. its now July and I am on the back side of winning treatment due to Good doctors. If you want to put your life at risk see this guy, but I would not let him see anyone I know

Was referred to Dr. Jones for an issue in my neck. Had exam, ears and throat checked. I lump was found. An ultra sound and blood work were prescribed. Blood work took extremely long to get back and the excuse was because it was allergy season. The ultrasound was given to another doctor for me to make an appointment with in the Exodus Health Network in Magna. Which Dr. Jones says he's is not affiliated with. More money out of pocket. 3 weeks later after blood work comes back , I do a follow up appointment. Everything according to him is ok and within guidelines, but I'm feeling like crap and for no reason he has to check my ears and throat again. A week later I get another bill for an examination. It should have been a follow up to the first exam. What a SCAM! untrustworthly and no help for my issues! I would not recommend.

Dr. Jones is the utmost professional and caring doctor in the entire state. He handles each case with great detail and devotion. His staff member, Jessica, is fantastic as well. She is timely will calls and requests and will work on your behalf with insurance. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Dr. Jones, his practice, and his staff. I will always recommend!

I would not recommend Dr. Jones at all. He told me to take at least another week off work after my appointment so I did. When i was in his office I asked if he would fill out short term disability papers for it he said yes. He did my papers and only excused me for the day before my appointment and the day after. So now I can’t get those days excused. If I would have known that I would have just went back to work. He lies and doesn’t fix his mistakes.

I went and saw Dr.Jones I had no voice at all. I asked him how much longer I should be out of work and he told me about 1 to 2 more weeks. I asked him if he would fill out my short term disability forms and he said yes. I got my forms back and he only excused me for the day before my appointment and the day after. Now I might loose my job because that week I missed because he said i can’t get excused. I would never recommend a man that can not be honest and help his patients like he says.

Dr jones is one of the best I have ever been to. He is so confident and sure of himself it is always so reassuring to visit him. He is kind and gentle with children. He did my daughters tubes and we have seen him a few times after. I always leave the office feeling like he 100% helped us and always confident in his recommendation. I wish we could see dr jones for all our dr visits!
