VERY BAD SURGEON
I got a life threatening bone infection from the anesthesiologists during surgery-confirmed by Infectious Disease Doctor. Don't use Yamamoto or El Camino Hospital. I had a very bad injury to my ribs 4 days prior to hip surgery. I lost motor control of legs and arms. I went to ER at El Camino. CAT scans won't show fresh injuries. I was given anti-spasm and narcotics to take. I asked ER doctor should I have a surgery in a few days? She said, 'It is up to you.' All pre hip surgery instruction insist that you must not have EXTERNAL but don't mention internal injuries. I called Yamamoto who didn't listen to me - he told me after I got osteomyelitis, 'oh I thought you were have referring hip pain.' I had made it clear to all I was seriously injured during a pilates class. I was also told by Yamamoto that it was 'UP TO ME' if I wanted to go through with the planned surgery. Internal injuries MUST be noted and warned against in all material shared-- they were NOT.

Best Orthopedic Surgeon
I’ve had both hips replaced by Dr Yamamoto. I’ve had experiences with other orthopedic doctors in the past. By far, Dr Yamamoto is my favorite, especially for hip replacements. I can’t speak for shoulders or knees but if I ever had surgery in either place, he’d be my first pick. Friendly but to the point. It was almost even fun. Excellent work!

I recently had hip surgery. He has an excellent disposition and the entire operation experience was fantastic for a first timer like me! I'm in my early 40's and a very active lifestyle. He put my mind at ease and walked me through the process. The post - op staff was amazing at El camino hospital and they really made me laugh. My new hip feels great and finally walking "properly" after so many years. Thank you, Dr Yamamoto and your team for making this a painful situation to an AWESOME one!

Dr Yamamoto and his team have been phenomenal through the whole process. I had a hip replacement surgery done at El Camino Hospital and Dr Yamamoto was very professional and I felt like they were so good with communication. I knew what to expect every time and it went so smoothly. I am doing a great recovery and expect to feel 200% better than before. I highly recommend Dr Yamamoto and his team. Thank you.

I am so pleased with my knee surgery done by Dr Yamamoto. He was patient with all my questions and spent a lot of time explaining the robotic procedure. The results are amazing. I am walking straight with weight on both legs and progression has been wonderful. At the PT it looks like I’m about 2-3 weeks ahead of those that had the standard procedure. I will be back rid g my horse & training dogs much faster than I expected. I would fully recommend the robotic procedure and Dr Yamamoto!

If Dr Yamamoto isn't your Ortho Surgery Dr, you've missed the best Ortho Dr ever, worldwide! From Appt to Pre-op thru post-op, there isn't any Doctor that has a better, smoother, clearer process. He clearly listened and explained his recommended action, sent us to pre-op class and everything from pre-op to post-op went exactly according to class. Hospital (both pre-op & post op) were GREAT. There just isn't enough space to say how great he (and El Camino Hospital Ortho group) are.

Great hip replacement surgery from whole team. I bruise easily and did not have one black and blue. Dr. Yamamoto is thoughtful, up to date on latest research, and takes time to discuss medical tests and procedures.
