Dr. Akintunde Akinleye, MD

Refused to see my 80 year old mother because she did not have the bloodwork he wanted done prior to the appointment. She had just had a ton of bloodwork done 2 days before the appointment in the ER but it wasn't what he wanted so he wouldn't see her. She was missing the iron tests and he pushes those $10k iron infusions so now I see why. She has been a patient for years but will no longer be because obviously he is all about the money and not about actually caring for his patients. Also, he is at the hospital for darn sake, why can't they do the bloodwork there but I was told they don't do that.

Terrible experience...so glad I got a second opinion from a specialist! My 17 year old son was seen by Dr. Akinleye and he ignored several key indicators. His diagnosis would have had my son undergoing chemo and/or radiation needlessly. A specialist said there was almost a zero percent chance of the cancer from having spread...meaning no additional treatments were necessary. The indicators that Dr. Akinleye missed, should NEVER have been missed by a competent oncologist. In my opinion, either he's incompetent or maliciously trying to profit at his patient's expense! Be extremely cautious!!
