Dr. Akilah Weber, MD

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Akilah Weber for about seven years and have never had a bad experience or interaction of any sort. I’ve found her to be very professional, competent, and caring. She and other professionals in the office are always polite. I noticed that the other reviews were all mothers bringing their daughters and I wonder if it was them being demanding if information they aren’t privy to by law. I don’t know but I find that interesting and I’m just pointing it out because I’ve never experienced that in a much longer time time than they brought up. I also know as a mother that when your child needs medical attention, it’s common to be in emergency mode and over react. In conclusion, I think you’d miss out on a great and professional doctor if you read that much into the prior comments. I personally recommend Dr. Akilah Weber.

If I could leave a "0" I would. Worst experience with a doctor ever. Very deceptive with trying to separate a mother from her daughter, when my daughter requested that I be present for her appointment. We went for hormone imbalance issues and they made it all about there should be a relationship between my daughter and the doctor, rather than my daughter and me. Find a better doctor, because she is arrogant and rude on top of all else.

Today we made a visit to Dr. Webber for a consult on my 15 year old daughter suffering from irregular, painful, heavy periods. First she failed to review charts or records. Second she sent a random male doctor to do intake, scaring the heck out of my daughter, while I waited for HIPPA clearance. Did a urine test with no warning or info and no results, while I wasn’t present. Literally the most expensive useless doctor visit in our lives. She needs to go!

Rushed through our appointment. Didn’t offer any viable solutions or treatment. Just handed my daughter a paper for an ultra sound and labs and sent us on our way to come back in 4-6 weeks. We changed our medical group in the parking lot she was so bad.

The worst experience we've ever had with a doctor. She was rude, arrogant, and had a cold bedside manner. Shocking that she works with teens and their families. She came into the exam room with an attitude, and did not care to understand the details of my daughter's complicated health history. Felt she was trying to get through the appointment as fast as possible. She didn't listen to our concerns, and didn't ask if we had any questions. Not confident in her treatment plan. Never responded to many of the several messages sent. Seem like she doesn't really care

Did not listen to my concerns, prescribed me a medication I told her I did not feel comfortable taking, decided I did not need anything I requested because I was a virgin, and acted like she knew my own body better than I did.
