Dr. Akiba Green, DO

Dr. Green demonstrates a lack of familiarity with research and advancements in women's health, particularly on post-menopausal care. During our interactions, she conveyed outdated information and disregarded my concerns regarding her proposed treatment plan. She disregarded the plan prescribed by my San Francisco GYN, modifying a regimen that has proven to be both stable and efficacious, without either notifying me or getting my consent.Her demeanor is marked by a lack of respect. She has a dictatorial style that does not respect the foundational principles of trust and collaborative engagement inherent in the doctor-patient relationship. That she is unwilling to listen to patients, review current research, or adjust her personal beliefs when they conflict with the patient is a cause for concern. Instead of listening, she bullies, stonewalls & uses coercive tactics (requiring repeated, frequent appointments rather than communicating via email.) I do not recommend this doctor.

She’s thorough and kind and easy to talk to. She made me feel cared for.

Dr. Green made a multitude of dismissive or rude comments during our visits. She didn’t take me seriously, and it was offensive. She was also late to almost every appointment.

Dr. Green was cold towards me and refused to answer my questions. She was late to our appointments and left early. She did not explain terminology to me and instead acted as though I should already know them.

She partners with you to do what is best for your health. Good listener and good doctor.

Intelligent

Dr. Green has been my OB for both of my children (second is due in a month). I think she is fabulous as well as the support staff and nurses she works with. They have always treated me well. My first child was delivered via c-section and Dr. Green did a wonderful job. I had a great recovery and there was no doubt in my mind that I would see her again for my second child.

Dr. Green was cold and indifferent. She either outright ignored my wife or openly shot down her concerns. From what I’ve heard she’s a great surgeon but from what I’ve seen and experienced she’s not emotionally invested in her patients or concerned with their experience.

Dr. Green is my current doctor for my third child. I was so heartbroken to find out I was expecting after the fire and would not be able to deliver at Feather River Birthing place or see the midwives. Dr. Green has been so patient with me and my two little ones that I take in to my appts. She is sweet, knowledgeable and like I said patient with me who cannot get my labs done in time!!!!

Don't waste your time !!!!!!!!

She wasn't my doctor however she was on call when I gave birth and she was okay however, she didn't talk much and didn't appear very calming or helpful to me during labor. She also would not allow my mother (who was standing by my head to give me privacy) to record the birth of my child, which is absolutely heartbreaking to me. I wanted to have that first Moment of her being placed on my chest saved and be able to see it later and she would not allow it.

I had an excellent appointment with Dr. Green. I felt that she was knowledgeable, friendly and made me feel comfortable. She was professional and answered all my questions.

Dr. Green gets right to the point. She is very knowledgeable! I am a high risk pregnancy and had my first baby at 32 weeks. She has helped me ease into my second pregnancy and has given me not only a lot of information, different options but also caring attitude to make me feel comfortable.
