Expressed high concerns about use of a medication. Alternate treatments available for my condition. Doctor's staff send me rude emails ordering me what to do w/no discussion. Doctor never reached out to me himself. Tried to transfer care to another doctor. The staff for that 2nd doctor told me they'd just do the same treatment (staff rudely talking to me), and said appointment type was wrong and had to be cancelled. Also, Dr. Shakoor unaware of a savings program for a drug he implanted in my eye. Only after Leaving the Moran Eye Center did I find out about the drug manufacturer savings program. Got an invite to return to the Moran, to self schedule. Used the invite 2.5 months after it arrived. Thought it was an "olive branch" to return to the Moran. It wasn't. Got angry phone call from a Moran manager. Told me I was banned. Got a written letter saying I was banned. I never threatened anyone, just complained about rude staff & poor treatment. Moran Eye Center puts patients at risk.
