Dr. Premkumar gave me my life back. I cannot say enough amazing things. The Emory Orthopedics practice alone is so efficient and through. Dr. Premkumar and his team (NP Hillary, PA Emily) went above and beyond to make me feel so cared for. They explain things thoroughly, spent ample time with me and showed me so much care every step of the way. I had 2 total hip replacements in 9 months both by Dr Premkumar and I have had extremely quick recoveries and feel amazing (2 months post op from my 2nd THR). Dr Premkumar even calls his patients himself pre and post surgery to check in. I am so appreciative of him and his team and will recommend them to everyone and trust them with any future care me and my family may ever need.

Dr. Premkumar is the best. He has treated me with respect and compassion. Looking forward to running again real soon on two new hips.

Dr. Premkumar performed knee replacement surgery on my left knee. Dr. Premkumar and his outstanding team were awesome throughout the entire process from pre-op, surgery, and post-op. The standard of care from everyone involved, from the nursing staff and anesthesiologist to the admin team and other staff members, was flawless. He took time to listen to me, discussed my concerns, told me what was wrong with my knee, told me what to expect from surgery, gave me his honest assessment and recommendation for my knee like I was a member of his family. The surgery was performed early afternoon, and I went home that same evening. I was able to walk with a walker without any problems or complications. There were some post operative discomfort, but I only had to use pain medication one time. I was amazed at how well my knee was recovering and how well I was walking. I was ecstatic with the functionality of the knee. I don’t have any pain at all, the fleflexion is great, and I have my life back.

I had total knee replacement surgery with Dr Premkumar, he was very professional from consulting to post operative, he answered every question, was never in a hurry and even called me to make sure everything was okay!! The best Dr ever!!!

I had a Total Knee replacement. But somehow he found a way to straighten my Femur that was bowed from another injury. Wow that was so cool. He's the best like I said

Dr Premkumar did an excellent job with my knee replacement. I have heard terrible stories from friends who have had the same surgery with different Surgeons. They had lots of pain and long recoveries. I have had minimal pain and was back to work 7 days from the surgery. I have been working around a half day and hope to be at a full day in three weeks.I fully recommend Emory and Dr Premkumar.

I had a TKR by Dr Premkumar and now pain free! I was really nervous to have the procedure so I put it off way too long. Dr Premkumar did an amazing job. He is incredibly nice and has a calming presence. He takes all the time needed to answer questions. His staff was also very kind and helpful. He was very cordial when he entered the examining room. After listening to what I had to say he then spoke. There was a physical examination which went well also. He ordered a battery of tests. My knee was a 'revision complete knee replacement'. His staff was very professional and very easy to work with throughout the entire process. I would trust he and his team to help me at any time. It has now been several months since my surgery and I can walk straight thanks to Dr. Premkumar. He's very smart, talented, compassionate and thorough. At no time during the process before during or after the surgery did he ever act anything but professional.

From pre-op exercises to do at home, to the day of the operation, to post-op, I always felt like I was in excellent hands. I must add that Dr. Premkumar personally responded MyChart when I reported a death in my family. I was very touched. Responsiveness to my needs was excellent during the entire experience. Dr. Premkumar is friendly, professional and a skilled surgeon. About 3 days after surgery, I was off pain medication; had no pain from the hip surgery. It’s been 3.5 weeks and I can put my full weight on my hip, slowly walk without a cane or walker. I am amazed, and wondering why I took so long to have the surgery. Thank you, Dr. Premkumar. Dr. Premkumar is an excellent skilled surgeon. I had my right knee replaced in August 2022 in another state and things did not go so well. It was an awful experience for me. Said I would never have surgery on my other knee. But while I was going through therapy my left knee went out. So I came back to GA to see my orthopedic Dr and because my knee was so bad he wanted me to go to Emory. I am so thankful I did. I wanted my knee fixed so that I would be able to walk again. And Dr. Premkumar did that for me. He was so kind and caring and always explained everything to me so I fully understood what was going to happen. Everything went fine and what a wonderful experience compared to all I went through before. No more knees, but if I ever have to have hip replacement I will be seeing him. He also called me twice before I had surgery checking on me. In my book he is the best and the most caring Dr I have ever had. Thank you for all you did for me.
