Dr. Ajay Maker is the real deal. His passion for his patients is overwhelming. My mom Doretha Stafford was diagnosed with stomach cancer in March of 2019 Surgery took place on May 9, 2019 Throughout this most difficult time not only did he communicate and listen but he consulted with her family of over ten on several occasions. He discussed options, challenges, and outcomes in great detail. My mom calls Dr. Maker her Angel. His bedside manners along with his professionalism and skill level made my mom and the entire family experience amazing. When he walked into the room we all felt everything would be okay. Thank you Dr. Maker. You are a great surgeon. We experience this from the hours you spent in the operating room communicating with your team , Our mom is Cancer free all because of you and the God that we serve. We would also like to thank Advocate Illinois Masonic Hospital Cancer center for the exceptional service that was given at this most challenging time

An incredible comforting Doctor. Takes time to explain procedures, checks all your test results carefully . He has a warm and comforting bedside manner. I had surgery on 2/14/2019 and am doing very well. His follow up and caring is top notch. I am a 70 year old senior and never met a fantastic Doctor as Dr. Ajay Maker. He is one of a kind and you can trust his decisions totally.

Dr Maker & his staff are amazing. They provide the, much needed, human touch. This was greatly important to me during a stressful time when dealing with surgery & the possibility of having a cancer diagnosis. Dr Maker is very patient & speaks to people in layman's terms. His expertise, attention to detail & dedication to my case truly make him an extraordinary physician & surgeon.

I found out a little over a month ago that I had malignant melanoma on my calf. My dermatologist referred me to Dr Maker to have surgery and I was immediately impressed by his background. My entire family was extremely pleased with Dr Maker on many levels - he was professional, explained things very clearly and made sure I understood what was being done and why. It has been about a week since I found out the cancer didn't spread and I can't thank Dr Maker & the team enough. Highly recommended!

Dr Maker is fantastic! He cared about my Wife's cancer and patiently answered all our questions before the surgery. The surgery was a success and he came out personally to the waiting room to tell me all about it. The follow-up was great too. He carefully explained what they did during the surgery and how it would feel afterward. The entire staff was very kind and caring.. I would recommend Dr Maker to family and friends.

Dr. Ajay Maker performed the surgery on my husband for colon cancer. Not only was he a caring and compassionate physician, but his rapport with us as a family truly helped during a very scary time. We loved Dr Maker, and wouldn't hesitate to refer him to our family and friends.

I have had an on going liver issue for almost a year and have seen 3 different liver specialists. He was BY FAR the BEST! He answered most of my questions before it was even time for me to ask them. Super thorough and took the time with me to make me feel like he actually cared. He put mine, and my moms, mind at such ease. I feel super confident moving forward with Dr. Maker. He was such a delight, and I feel blessed and super thankful to have crossed paths with him.
