Great doctor, but you’ll be just another patient
Had a consult after being referred by primary doctor. Appointment was great, scheduled colonoscopy due to symptoms, and was asked to bring back a sample for lab work. Lab work came back with bacterial infection. I saw it on my patient chart online. It took almost a week for the doctor to have someone notify me. I was told being on the antibiotics and having the infection would not affect procedure. Prescription that was sent to pharmacy was going to cost $7,000. I called the doctors office, which, I must add, doesn’t even give an option to talk to anyone just to leave a message. Asked for a new prescription that was cheaper in a voicemail. Six days later, the day before colonoscopy, pharmacy notifies me prescription is ready, no cal from doc. Do the cleanse and fast. Go to appointment, pay $1,350 for procedure. Get ready to start iv sedation and am told I have to reschedule due to the infection. Doctor’s office never once let me know this could happen or cared to follow up on anything.

WORST EXPERIENCE WITH DR EVER
Our daughter, 18 years old, was diagnosed with SIBO, lost 30 pounds in about a month, weighed 78 pounds & after several months of being in & out of hospital & Dr. McCutchens was called by ER & she suggested new medicine which we started for the SIBO. Then after the ER we followed up by seeing McCutchens in Clinic. She seemed not to care that she weighed 78 pounds, told us she would gain it back. I asked if we needed to give her medical food, she said no. I asked if she needed an IV for food, she said no..."MOM SHE WILL BE FINE". After dealing with McCutchen along with a couple of her associates, probably close to one year we decided to go to the Mayo Clinic. The following week after seeing McCutchen we went to the Mayo Clinic where they admitted her to the hospital stating she was severely malnourished&needed immediate medical attention.Mayo said her body was close to shutting down.Just saying be your own advocate.NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOU, LIKE YOU DO!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND MCCUTHEN!

Phenomenal, one-of-a-kind doctor
My elderly mother was seen by Dr. McCutchen for gastro issues she's had all her life. Dr. McCutchen wasted no time ordering the proper tests to find the root cause...something no other gastroenterologist had ever done. Not only is she patient and kind, but she has compassion with a great bedside manner. She exudes all of the attributes all doctors should possess.

Able to communicate medical procedures and allay patient fears or worries, her bedside and clinical manner is clear, caring, articulate and specific. Dr. McCutchen is a good doctor. Really good about ordering tests to be done and stays on the ball about finding out what's wrong. I just wish the Winder location would open back up since it's closer to my house.

Quick, pleasant, efficient. Will definitely come back! Dr. McCutchen credentials speak for themselves. What it doesn't show, is how smart she is and how she treats her patients. She has incredible bedside manner and was able to make me feel comfortable every step of the way during my procedure. Everyone of Dr. McCutchen staff that I have encountered; assistant, medical staff, anesthesiologists, scheduling team, financial and medical advisors and office staff were very personable, warm, organized and very professional. I had a great experience overall. I would not hesitate to recommend my friends, acquaintances and family.

I found my first visit Dr. McCutchen to be very satisfying from a medical and personal perspective. It was clear she had read my file from my previous Dr. and was ready to discuss my issues. And listen. Very personable and very smart. I think I am in good hands with her.

Dr. McCutchen was very personable. She listened intently to my concerns, reassured me that my concerns were valid and explained what we needed to do as next steps to make sure I got back to great health. She explained everything and made an effort to connect me with me as a person, not just a patient. The office staff was very nice also. Stacy was her nurse and she was so friendly, professional and patient with me as I attempted to schedule my next appointments (took some effort because my schedule is so busy and packed). I would highly recommend Dr. McCutchen and, in fact, have already told my family member and my friend to schedule their appointment with her.
