She is the smartest and most compassionate physician I know and has treated me for years always my advocate. Lisa who is her Office Assistant is very knowledgeable about insurances, she is efficient and kind. I highly recommend her and have referred family and friends.

Assistant provides poor support
The doctor is great but her assistant, Lisa, does not provide the necessary support. She called to tell me I needed to go for a urine test, but the usual lab did not have available appointments. I asked if I could call back after checking the available locations. I called back 6 minutes later but didn't hear back for nearly a full day. She was very defensive about her failure to get back to me. I decided that I needed to discuss a different regimen with the doctor, one that did not make me dependent on Lisa. I was anxiously awaiting my next appointment which was about 3 weeks later. Literally the day of my appointment, I received a letter saying that they could no longer provide my care. I trusted the doctor and was anxious to discuss alternatives with her. I believe that it would have been more professional if she had at least kept our final appointment, rather than cutting me off so abruptly.

She wouldn’t take me as a patient. After 3 weeks of requests from her I was told without explanation she would not see me. Pretty unprofessional and uncaring. My neck and back give me constant pain...she is a Pain Management Doctor who says sorry I won’t help. How can other patients write glowing reviews?? Never had any Dr act so uncaring

My situation is complex, with three co-morbidities and an ongoing chronic pain situation. I needed a top-notch neurologist...in a smallish town north of SF. Dr. Chagnon not only keeps abreast of changes in her field, but listens carefully when you describe your symptoms and how well the meds work for you. She is patient, articulate, OK with "informed patients," and best of all, she's an excellent practitioner. I'm sure many of her patients present challenging behaviours in the office but she treats each one with grace and professionalism. She's also upbeat in even the most difficult situations. What a find! During COVID she is able to maintain treatments and stay in touch consistently. I've been with her for three years now; if she tries to relocate, she'd better be ready for trouble.

If I could rate less than one star I would. My daughter was referred by her primary physician. We called four times to get an appointment with no response. We finally went to the office to make the appointment and encountered the rudest front desk receptionist. She kept interrupting to ask questions that, if she had just listened to what was being said, she would have the answers to. After finding out that my daughter needed an appointment and that a referral had been sent a month prior, she said "we are not accepting your case". When asked why, she very rudely said "we are not legally obligated to tell you anything." So we asked why no one called us to tell us that a month ago, and she simply repeated "we are not legally obligated to tell you anything." Seriously? After you got our first message you couldn't have the common decency to return the call and say that we needed to go elsewhere? In the end, I'm glad they won't be seeing my daughter. If this is how they treat h

Dr Chagnon has a combination of expertise and compassion that’s hard to find. She takes time to answer questions in detail until you’ve asked every one that you have. I never feel rushed and she has been incredibly helpful.

Sonoma Pain Creation would be a better name for this business. Their staff is completely unprofessional, non-responsive, and evasive. They don’t call back even after multiple voicemails, refuse to deal with the insurance company, and refuse to answer simple questions about insurance. The entire burden will be on you to figure out referrals, authorizations, and procedure codes. If you don’t then you will either land up paying the full bill or get threatened with a collection agency.

Her staff is rude. She would not respond to my other doctors or the pharmacy. She lost my discs taken at the hospital and when I wrote a letter asking for clarification she fired me as a patient without a referral to another doctor to take over my care.

She has been my Dr since 2000, she's the only one who could figure out what was wrong with me. After seeing over 30 Dr and specialist who said yes there's something wrong, but we don't know what it is. If I could have had her as the first Dr I saw once hurt, I'd be collecting workers comp etc. but because it took so many years of Dr's who had no clue what was wrong with me I got screwed. I'm very thankful I found Aimee, she has a huge heart and she truly cares !!
