Dr. Ahmed Nawaz, MD

After confirming w the scheduler at the front desk 3 times that they take our insurance & providing insurance information, I made an initial appt hoping to establish a new dr for myself & my husband. We arrive, same front desk person checks us in. Seemed busy and not particularly pleasant. Only waited 10 mins then had our vitals taken. We were then taken into an exam room expecting Dr Nawaz (apparently to perform our first time physical together by the same dr). A staff member comes in and tells us they do not take our insurance. This after providing complete insurance info when scheduling 3 wks prior! We took the time to choose this practice under our plan, do all paperwork x2, provide accurate ins info, sit and wait, ONLY TO BE TOLD THEY CAN’T SEE US BC THEY DON’T TAKE OUR INSURANCE. I come home and confirmed they are ABSOLUTELY listed as providers under our plan! DO NOT waste your time like we did dealing w people that are misinformed & seem like they don’t even care at all!!!

I had my 1st appt today after being in the hospital with Covid for 2 months. I was very impressed at how he was patient and listened to me. He is very knowledgeable and brought up something I forgot to tell him about my medical history that just came to him by him asking me the right questions. He is very thorough and doesn't rush to get you out the door for the next patient. I would definitely recommend him.

I had been looking for a primary care doctor for my Dad for some time. Very happy with the level of care and attention that Dr. Nawaz provides. The practice does not overbook patients and you aren't rotated through as if you were on a carousel. He is knowledgeable and non-judgmental and explains things really well. This is a two doctor practice and the coverage is very efficient. I was concerned about how Dad was doing on a certain medication - Dr. Nawaz was on vacation and Dr. Chopra called me back before the end of the day (literally within 4 hours). How's that for service??? It's amazing! Dad is very happy and I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Nawaz!

I've been going to Dr Nawaz for about 2 years now. He is an awesome doctor. Easy to talk to, friendly, explains things and is very knowledgeable and thorough. His medical assistant is a sweetheart. The receptionists are all friendly and helpful.

Dr. Nawaz is fantastic. He is an incredible listener, he knows his stuff, and he makes internal medicine look easy! Highly recommend him to anyone, he is hands down one of the best doctors on the East Coast

Based upon the recommendation of my cardiologist and a friend, we sought out Dr, Nawaz (contrary to the info on Health Grades, the practice is now in Rockville, MD. My wife and I were impressed with Dr. Nawaz's approach to medicine and the breadth of his knowledge and contacts. He firmly believes in taking care and time with patient and wants to be the central point for the medical care of his patients, He believes in patients seeing specialists, but wants to coordinate care
