Dr. Ahmed Heshmat, MD

The patients that write a good review on his pages are either getting narcotics or benzos from him. the needs to investigate this dr. these patients are only happy with his service bc no other drs in rockville give the same combination of drugs he does. Bc of him, my fiance overdosed. he was the last prescribing dr. and to top it off he doesn't require drug screens for his patients.

Dr. Heshmat as provides me a thorough and prompt care of over a decade. He has met me for an emergency at the hospital with my back and spine issues. Trust in this provider, he is truly one of the best! Also, having working in medical sales my entire career, I have a lot of exposures to other practices, he’s always on top of the new health information and integrated it into his practice quickly for his patients. Please trust in and and go!

Dr. Heshmat has done an excellent job with coordinating my care with all of the complexities of multiple health conditions.

I had a very good experience during my visit with Dr. Ahmed Heshmat. I liked everything very much! That doctor is highly professional! I strongly recommend seeing that physician.

I could write a book after a couple of stressful years. The office is just incompetent. No other way to say it. The doctor does very little and refers most symptoms to other doctor friends of his. One of them ruined my eyesight and tried to get me to pay $5k extra “to get a good lens”. So, I guess I got a bad lens. Typical of who he refers to. He’s treating drug addiction in the office, so there’s a stream of people in and out for drug tests. Little time spent with patients. Difficulty communicating and getting prescription refills. Expects patient to come to office for every request, then only checks vitals, then bye !! Was never examined. Ever.

I tried to accept that this office is most likely understaffed. Then I realized they are simply incompetent. Ignoring messages, not following through on RX refills, simply not acceptable. They aren’t rude, just don’t care. As a senior with various health issues, none very serious, I was always referred elsewhere for care. Ended up seeing 4-5 different doctors, some his friends, and had some bad experiences there too. I know he thinks because he’s usually pleasant that excuses below average care. I hung in hoping ii would improve, but the past two years proved it’s not going to happen. Changed practices.

He listened to my concerns and ever since I have been in his office I have been getting better and better with health. I am satisfied. Thank you doctors and his crew!

Would have given ZERO stars if I could as this "doctor" is highly UNPROFESSIONAL, showing POOR COMMUNICATION skills and not being able to separate business from personal life during appointments. His ARROGANCE and EGO have shown time and time again that he LACKS COMPASSION and understanding. Be very careful with this "doctor" as he cannot answer a patient's questions without feeling that his intelligence is threatened or challenged. His CHILDISH behavior is what made me switch doctors, but I regret starting my road to recovery with him as he cannot even communicate with other doctors he's referred me to. I believe my health has slightly DECLINED due to his INEFFICIENT practice. Examples (to name a few): Given me the wrong amount of medicine multiple times. Not faxing over important documents when asked multiple times. Being very rude and unprofessional while I had emotional support (friends/family) come with me into the room.

Dr. Heshmat was very kind and helped me get a last-minute appointment when I was severely sick after multiple Dr's wouldn't see me. His staff is very nice.
