my condition was not treated
I will start off by saying he has a good bedside manner. The nurses are amazing but unfortunately they have to do what he tells them to do. I had terrible hypoferritinemia that was probably due to endometriosis but I had a hysterectomy and I take testosterone, so the endo shrunk away but the ferritin in my food and pills never absorbed. He kept ordering phlebotomies for me because he kept trying to put my blood count in the female range. I was borderline high in the male range but it was fixed when I got a CPAP a few months ago. When I told my cardiologist about him she had me change doctors immediately. The new hematologist gave me iron infusions and saved my life because the quality of life was so bad before I wanted to die. Dr. Al-Hajj does not need to be treating any transgender patients ever. He also did not acknowledge a hematology journal saying that chronic inflammation patients should have ferritin above 100. Mine got down to 4 at one point.
